Cleared my engine knock code
The code read knock sensor failure, but the code was too consistent I wanted to check out other things first. A faulty sensor would be random, it was always in high gear and engine under load such as a steep hill in 6th at 60mph or steep hill in 5th at 40mph. You could actually feel the truck bucking until you would stab the gas to force it to downshift. It was ONLY that condition and on a flat surface the code with clear on its own. We started driving around with 6th locked out because we only knew of one place that would effect the truck in 5th.I did a spark plug change to find that a previous owner used 2 completely different types AND brands of spark plugs, but at that time I tried to reuse the original coil packs. The driver side was probably fine, but the passenger side had green corrosion pouring out of the coil pack. I tried the coil pack rebuilt but it was too far gone at that point. It was better, but still had the code.I replaced the coil packs with these and I knew at first start up it was going to be fine. The motor ran better than when we originally purchased it!!! Been driving for a month, good to go!!Before the conclusion is drawn these are better than factory, know I never got a tune on the truck after swapping for these coil packs. So these packs fit the tune well, all the power is back. Know that you will not get more power just by swapping these out. Those days of old hot rodding are over with computer controlled vehicles. The spark table will NOT change on it's own so these are going to fire the same, they are just new. If it fired differently, there's other codes that will throw. NOW, these a probably more CAPABLE if you got a tune, but without a tune its just a better deal on coil packs. Great quality product though.

Replacing Motorcraft parts with MSD
I have MSD ignition in my boat and is very reliable. My F250 started showing random misfire codes, replaced the OEM coils with MSD, perfect fit, no problems with install. Got to be better than Motorcraft, 75k and had two coils go bad!

Coils went bad after 7 months
Used 7 months in my Ford F250 with minimal weekend driving. MSD won't honor a 3rd party purchase warranty since they were bought off Amazon.. Just wasted $500!! I'm a full time mechanic, I'll never use or refer MSD again!!!

Better boots than OEM
These are about half the price of Ford OEM replacement and seem to be equal or better quality. They're heavy and the boots are thicker (coated inside with dielectric grease). I would buy again in 100k miles if I need to.

Quality.
Went on great. Much thicker and more flexible than factory part. Seals off plug hole completely. Also got the matching wire set. Thicker and went on easy. Truck runs great now.

Mixed reviews online for MSD products.
In my case, I actually ordered these for my 6.2 Ford. Unfortunately, they showed up later than estimated by Amazon, and I had to seek an alternative to get the truck back on the road.Having said that, while I was waiting for these to show up (late), I was better able to research the MSD coils for the 6.2 Ford. What I found was not encouraging, including strong guidance from the resident Ford expert on YouTube, FordTechMakuloco. FTM strongly advised against using aftermarket coils, and gave specific guidance against using MSD coils- with video proof of an MSD coil failing and an easy repair with a factory Ford coil.I bit the bullet and bought OEM Ford. I don't have time for cheaper aftermarket failures. The MSD coils were returned with no issue using Amazon's fantastic return procedures.

Great Product!
These MSD COPs work great! I am a die hard MSD fan and have been using their products for many years. I've never been disappointed! Highly recommend! ...and I want to thank Amazon for having them in stock when even the manufacturer was back ordered. Really got me out of a tough spot! Go AMAZON!!
