Maybe more later, but just a couple of clarifications to the product description. It seems like a great little player, volume is massive and not muted per EU Regs. It has no internal memory as most players do - you will need an SD card to store anything. The card slot is MICRO SD - not standard SD as listed. Also it shows the SD capacity as 512Gb - In fact my 1Tb card works perfectly well, so that is not a limitation. UPDATE After living with this for a few weeks, I'm more and more happy. Sound is fantastic, player is easy to use and reliable. One minor drawback is that the firmware might be better are organising your files - for example, I can select by genre and then by album title, but not by genre then artist. And sometimes the firmware will second-guess you on your own defined attributes - so James Brown is listed under the firmware's genre of Funk, not my genre of Soul. But these are minor quibbles for a unit of high quality and great value for the price.

Feels heavier than it looks, but that could be the metal exterior. Touchscreen for most of the controls. Didn't read the pdf manual, but was able to figure most things out just by playing with different swipes. So ease of use isn't intuitive, but once you know what you're doing it's fine. Screen is bright and clear. Volume button on side is a twisty knob. I've had this thing at 30% - 40% with bluetooth earbuds and it was fantastic. Sound quality was crisp and clear, and I've not played with the built-in equaliser. I bought this specifically for creating custom playlists to manage my autism and so far so good. I wanted a case to carry it and was tempted by a several, until I realised this is compact enough to fit into a GoPro minicase that I had, and the Bluetooth was not affected, so saved some money. Micro SD card: fingernail wasn't enough to push it in as far as I needed to, so had to get creative to solve this minor inconvenience. I used a 64Gb card and I would suggest organising any music prior to uploading e.g. By artist / album etc to make finding a specific song easier. Overall, if you're paying over £150 for something like this, you ARE going to get a quality product that is superior to cheaper alternatives, which I've also used but ended up buying this instead. This is the best Mp3 since my ipod nano.

As soon as I opened the box was surprised by the size and design. Bluetooth connectivity and availability to add an expansion memory card, definitely worth the price and better performance and product compared to the likes of Sony, Samsung or Apple products. Small product with big heart.

A superb little DAC capable of delivering high quality sound from almost any digital format including 24bit DSD. Although it isn’t a music streamer (you need to feed a source into it) it’s the perfect way to get great sound out of a computer or Bluetooth enabled smart phone/tablet and feed it into either high quality headphones (it has both balanced and standard output jacks) or a high grade Hifi system. Well constructed, versatile and a steal at this price.

Great for 2 days then I was lossimg signal in the right side on occasion. By the time I new it was the headphone amp it is too late to return If I could get a replacement amp or a 2.5mm balanced cable I would be slightly happier. But as it stands I recommend DO NOT BUY.

Got this to replace my 1st Gen Fiio MK3 hi res player. This is definitely a big upgrade by in both sound , ease of use . And the screen a lot better viewing. So will post another update after having the item for a longer period.. Update After contacting Hidiz for information about the plug configuration for 2.5mm balanced cable , they contact with circuit diagram 30 minutes after sending email. I then converted my AKG headphones to mini 4 pin XLR female socket and rewired headphones cable. Then purchased a custom made 2.5mm to 4pin XLR male. And I have to say it's outstanding in both sound and channel separation. So it's another thumbs up to Hidiz

Great sound and quality. Easy to transfer existing music onto memory card. If you've only ever used a ipod or similar, you've (like me) been missing out on great sound. Paired with my Shure in ear headphones, it's like being at a concert, the clarity and quality is perfect.

Habe den AP80 PRO-X nun seit 4 Wochen und bin wirklich begeistert. Der Klang ist sehr ausgewogen, kann verändert werden. Einfache Bedienung und macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Über die Qualität des Akkus kann ich nach 4 Wochen noch nichts sagen, aber für den Preis ist das kleine Dinge wirklich erstklassig. Mir fehlt zum Vergleich mit höherwertigen Geräte die Erfahrung, es klingt aber um Längen besser als mein iPhone.

There are a lot to love and very little to dislike. There can be improvements in areas but after owning several of more expensive ones, the price of the 80 Pro X with its many features,I will not be petty Pros: 1. Very light and small…size L-2.25in, W-2.5in, D-0.5in. Easy to carry in any pocket. 2. Low heat. My biggest complaint on these electronic portables is the high temperatures some produce. This unit surprisingly produces very low heat. It was barely warm after playing and carrying it in the pocket on a 1 1/2 hour walk. 3. It played every audio format that was thrown at it including Hi-Res. Tested with DSD256 and my favourite aiff (32BIt 192KhZ) 4. Compatible with 512GB micro-sd cards. Prefer using 128 and 256 cards with the different music genres separated. 5. Workmanship and material are very good. No sharp edges, control and buttons work smoothly and flawlessly. 6. Touch screen display makes accessing files a breeze. Note: Because of the small screen icons are proportionally small in size. I found it easier to gently touch the tip of finger to icon. Haven’t tried it yet but one of those plastic phone display pens might work. 7. Two output ports…3.5mm unbalanced and a 2.5 balanced. Output audio quality from both are very good. The 2.5 balanced is now my favourite and used the most. Why? Because I can hear the 8. It is a DAP, , USB DAC, BT DAC. Have not tried it as a DAC as yet but may do so if I have need for it or the one I have stops functioning. 9. USb C charging cable Cons: 1. No protective case included. 2. What I wish this unit had and Suggest Hidizs to do on future models is that the metal housing would be redesigned to have a tab at the top with a chain hole so the unit can be hung around the neck or can be clipped to belt. Would make it harder to lose or drop and more convenient to access display functions and control buttons. And maybe an added selling point.

Había visto muy buenas opiniones y a pesar de no conocer la marca compré este dispositivo. Corrí con mala suerte y tenía algunos errores y se detenía la música. A pesar de eso, me encantaba como se escuchaba y decidí pedir la devolución y el cambio por otro igual. Antes de hacer la devolución contacté a soporte técnico de Hidizs y la verdad quedé muy contento con la atención, fue recomendación de ellos el cambiarlo por que no se pudo diagnosticar el error. Es muy compacto y está hecho de muy buenos materiales, se siente robusto y agradable al tacto. Necesitas obviamente archivos FLAC de alta resolución y unos buenos audífonos para apreciar todo el potencial del DAP. El segundo no tuvo ningún error y lo estoy disfrutando mucho, la calidad de audio es realmente buena. Es importante tener una Micro SD de buena calidad y de alta velocidad sobre todo para evitar que se caliente. Noté como le costaba mucho trabajo pasar de una canción a otra con una SD de baja velocidad, así mismo se tarda menos en leer los archivos de audio si la formateas como exFat y guardas todos los archivos en una carpeta con el nombre Music en la raíz.

Der Player ist wirklich super! Tolle Software und ein Spitzenklang! Das Problem ist nur, der Druckknopf zum Einschalten -und einstellen der Lautstärke- macht seht leicht Probleme. So liess sich bei meinem ersten Gerät der Taster nicht mehr betätigen...zum Glück ist Amazon hier sehr gut und ich habe einen neuen bestellt und das Geld -nach Zurücksenden- für den "Alten" zurück bekommen.
