Feels good and does the job!
Works great. Here’s a tip, because I read a complaint that it moved while trying to set the area rug on top, all you need to do is set some weight on the corners of it. I used dumbbells. I laid the rug over top, lining it up, then trimmed 2 inches off each side, then removed the dumbbells and adjusted slightly. Work smarter, not harder. Also, be sure to use the rougher side facing up so it’ll hold onto the rug when you lay it in top. I love this padding. It does the job!

Feels great under the rug
We have a tile floor, and a 10x14 handmade wool rug. Putting this under the rug made it feel so much better. It was rather difficult to cut with scissors, I switch to a utility knife and that worked fine.

Rug pad feels cushiony under the rug
Received the 1/2 inch thick version of the pad. It is like a felt moving blanket in the way it feels. It adds cushioning, but was hoping it would grip the floor more than it does, so having to get more items to get it to stick to the rug on top and to the floor.I am using it in a home gym and can't have it shifting. The rug alone on the floor was super grippy and now it is super slick with the pad. It is larger than the rug by a bit for some reason, but it can be trimmed on one side.I will see what I can get to make it stick. It's the texture that feels like touching raw cotton that I need to figure out. It is thicker and does provide more comfort. The texture bothers me more than I realized, but can get used to it or maybe better to move to another room. The color and ease of putting it down was pretty easy and it works well. I will get it to stick better and hopefully that will resolve some of this.

Very good quality and just what we needed for our rug.
We ordered a big bigger than we needed and cut it to fit. Its really nice and made our rug so cushioned. IT made a very ordinary rug feel and look high end.

Perfect rug pad
After buying an inexpensive flat pad for under my new living room rug, I decided I wanted something better. Not disappointed with this pad! I needed to trim it, but cutting it was easy. It's made a world of difference. My rug now feels plush and is a delight to walk on.

Good protection and peace of mind for LVP flooring
We recently installed new LVP flooring in our basement and needed a protective rug pad for our 8x10' area rug. We initially tried the Mohawk grip felt rug pad but found out that our manufacturer didn't approve of the rubber backing so we went with this just felt version. We chose the 1/4" height which we found adequate if not just a bit high as it does raise the rug off the surface (see photo). Any larger and it would be a tripping hazard. The product arrived rolled and larger in size than our area rug so trimming was necessary. One side is rough to hold against the carpet and one is soft for the floor. We trimmed 2" off each side. The easiest way we found to trim it was to place the rug upside down, place the mat on top 2" offset from 2 corners and then trim the remaining two corners. We creased each and used a 4' straightedge to draw a line with a sharpie and we used a sharp boxcutter to make several small passes. We placed a remnant piece of carpet under the pad and cardboard so as to not cut through the rug. We've had the mat on for around one month now and on our 8x10' rug with some furniture on top have noticed no slipping. It gives perhaps a bit of cusion but not much but that wasn't our intent. We purchased it so that the rug would not scratch the flooring and for that it seems to be doing it's job.Overall I would say it's a good value and much cheaper than some competitor products.Positives+ Great price compared to competitors+ Seems like a well made product and from a reputable brand+ Different size options and comes larger to allow for trimming+ No noticeable smells or offgassing+ Doesn't move when weighted with furniture. Did not try it without. I would imagine a heavy large rug may be sufficient but a smaller rug would need some type of rubberish backing to prevent slipping.Negatives- Even at the 1/4" height at offset the recommended 2" from the sides it still sticks up a bit which can gather some dust and perhaps be a tripping hazard.- This may be both a positive and negative in that since it is so dense it can be difficult to cut properly. A sharp new blade and several passes with adequate pressure seemed to work best.

Worth it!! Would buy again!
I looked at several pads for an area rug we recently purchased. This was the best price and the quality is excellent. I didn’t want the thinnest and I didn’t want to pay the higher price for the thickest pad. But this is an excellent choice if your looking for not the thinnest pad but also not the most expensive yet gives your rug a bit of a cushion feel.

Difficult To Deal With
It’s okay - the pad itself seems to be good quality & it is probably better for smaller rugs, but it is such a pain to deal with on an 8x10 rug. It’s impossible to do by yourself. Every time you try to adjust the rug to fit on the pad it slides with it so it’s pretty much not doable. The only way I was able to do it was to use my peel & stick corner pieces that I got to hold it down. This kept it in place to situate the rug; however, then it was too big and needed to be trimmed which was also difficult to do since I had already attached all the corners to the floor. Standard rugs are 8x10, plus that is what it is labeled as in the product description, so why is there extra that needs to be trimmed? It took me so long to get it to where it needed to be. I’m glad to have a pad under the rug now, but I would not recommend this product to anyone unless you have someone to help you - even then I could see it being difficult because it slides too much.
