This is the first USC C hub I’ve been able to use with a Nintendo Switch without issues. USB C charging keeps up with the switch as it’s being used, and there are no visual artifacts. This adapter is great for traveling as it fits into the switch hard cases along with the console. I’ve also tested with an iPad mini and it seems to work nicely as well, although I’ve only extensively used it with the switch.

This is small enough to fit in my Switch carrying case (without the HDMI cable) and works perfectly fine with my TV and original charger.This is affordable and highly packable and works well.

My son wanted this because he broke his other one and it’s WAY cheaper than the one Nintendo sells and works well recommend buying this.

I bought this item, because I have an ergonomic case on my Switch for when I'm using it in handheld mode. However, with the OEM dock, I have to remove it each time I want to use it in docked mode, and I hate taking the case off, even for those few moments of uncertainty.Overall, this fixes my original problem. However, the biggest issue is that it doesn't always work straight away. Even after I've spent time using it, and then I put my switch in sleep mode, and never touch the dock, or any of the cables. The next time I turn my switch on with the controller, the actual handheld screen will pop on, and show its' charging, but it will not transmit to the television. I then have to randomly unplug and plug back in the three different cables until it works. (The cable to the switch console, the power cable to the dongle, the HDMI cable to the dongle. ) It's not any set one that fixes it, or even a guarantee that unplugging and plugging all back in will immediately fix it. Sometimes I have to cycle through them, unplug, plug-in, over and over until the handheld screen finally goes dark, and then after a second or two, the television starts showing the screen.I would still recommend this item though, as that inconvenience is still worth it, over the previous issue I was having. It's also much easier to throw the dongle and cables into a travel bag, than the bulky OEM dock.

I had bought two of them, one to give to my Nefew. When before they came in I noticed there were a few people that the device did not work… I have the first series switch that came to me from a pre-order before they began distribution… great device and I love it to this day even having a steam deck as well…. Unfortunately neither of them worked. I wasn’t surprised and didn’t even care enough to make sure I returned them on tim. (Which was still like 30 bucks) I kinda remember a problem with that as well. I bought this with the sole purpose of being able to hook to a TV without having to bring the original dock around. It fits in my HORI Adventure pack (TOK edition) and travels great. Very small and compact for a docking solution. Traveled to Europe with it and I was super happy being able to play on the tv in our Airbnb.My only issue so far... Android does not output sound correctly using this adapter. IYKYK. But could not ding the adapter since this is not native to the switch.

I was advised by the game store that something like this would not work with my daughter's Nintendo Switch to connect to the TV, that I'd have to purchase a new Nintendo Switch Docking Station, but they were wrong and this works great!

Traveling worked on 3 kinds 1 Smart tv 2 old TVs. Automaticily connects to TV when switch was plugged in. It charges the switch slowly never checked joycons charging to..it works for the OLED version.I tried plugging in my phone but it doesn't work for Amazon prime.

we have a launch day switch whose dock died and i figured i would buy a travel adapter instead of trying to replace the dock. i have since tried it on various tvs (smart and not) and all have worked without issue. i wish there were other colours though, it looks a bit goofy with my all black setup
