This broke just like all the others in the same place and I didn't do anything to them for this to happen! Both cords are like this! The kindle wasn't dropped and the cords weren't yanked! I used one for my cellphone and one for my Kindle. They charged great! This was the problem. I don't have a clue how they got like this but on their page this wasn't supposed to happen! It looked like a well built cord. I looked around Amazon before deciding on this one. I've bought other brands and they always break here or where the hard black is on the cord. I've learned my lesson! I will buy what is supposed to be for my Kindle from now on. No more trying to save money or trying to get a longer cord.

I like the sturdiness of these . The colors are nice as well. They work fine. Not a whole lot one can say about a usb cord , but we are pleased with them. These will wear a whole lot better than the one that came with my wife’s cell phone that wore at the plug in. To the point that the outer insulation separated. These have extra material at those points.

These work fine in charging phone. Use primarily in car to charge phone while driving. No issues. Length works ok using a charger that plugs into outlet. Use second one on charger in house. Length is adequate for my use. No issues yet and have used for about 3 months.

Love the cable, loved the price, appropriate length and appears to be durable.To bad the Amazon driver could not read and leave the delivery in the correct location. This happens about 50% of the time.

I've tried them with my computer 2.0 and 3.0 UBS ports, the phone manufactures wall charger and a power bank. It has been my experience that the cables don't lend themselves to charging any faster than regular cords.
