Epic journey beginning with something seen on amazon. A product unheard of. The very idea of being able to carry a movie camera smoothly without shake or tilt I looked into years ago and got nowhere. Hand held dolly shots are now not only possible they are also affordable. I gave myself a £200 limit and also quickly decided that big, awkward ones were out. It seems Zhiyun are the main contenders. But which model? An early front runner M2S seemed ideal. Light and small and exactly £200. But not available. Whilst waiting stock a special offer on the M3 had me delving into its specs. I could see it is 150g heavier but significantly different model to the M2S. I liked the screen, the higher weight carrying limit, the joystick and other buttons and it was available for just £219 which I presumed was last year’s model territory. Correct. Yet the huge leap of faith required to purchase one of these gimbals is due to my camera not being on any Compatibility List. But my Fujifilm X-T200 has a Remote control and I figured most of the controls on this gimbal device are to control the movement of whatever is placed on its arm. Correct. I took the plunge. It took exactly two hours to charge from a cheap usb on the end of an extension lead. Day one is unpacking and charging. Day two is seeing if any control possible of camera and balancing the camera. Tried leads supplied but they are only if you wish to drain the gimbal battery into your camera battery. Silly. Eventually balancing is sussed and quite easy except for still undone Pan Axis. Eventually. Then the M2S became available. But that screen, the auto calibration had me just about very happy. And moving it around is a definite other string to your bow when it comes to movie making. You can even move in on a shot Cecil B. De Mille style. And you have a floodlight, adjustable for brightness and colour, at your fingertips. The Instructions supplied are very poor and the QR code can’t be scanned as its too small. I photographed it and then scanned the back of my camera. Done for 44 page A4 print-out instructions and video tutorials downloadable. I now have a movie making rig. It has 16mm XF lens which is great glass for close-ups and wide shots. The Remote control is mainly for being able to focus when you change distance from lens to subject. I don’t believe I could ever better my still image collection of ‘Every Stone is Government’ film. Now I must make a movie. Coming Soon.

I never got the hang of the gimble so I sold it on. It's only suitable if you can leave the same camera attached all the time, that way you avoid resetting it up everytime

Likes: -Small and portable -well designed - gimble balancing is quick and easy Dislike -battery doesnt last as advertised so,forget about charging the camera with it. basically continous use of 2/3 hours drains out the whole battery. - universal small quick release plate would be great instead what’s provided.

Really disappointed for my Crane M3 to have stopped working on its very first use. Took it to Kenya to record a holiday of lifetime and experienced a complete hardware fault (screen kept saying “upgrade” then “failed). Tried to update the firmware using the ZY Play app but was unable to connect to the gimbal using Bluetooth. Contacted the manufacturer hoping they could help, but they told me to return to the seller so I suspect this is a known issue. Incredibly frustrated to have lugged this around on the whole trip (taking up valuable luggage space) and not be able to use it. Even more annoyed I haven’t been able to film the holiday video I had planned. Debating wether to bother replacing it or just get my money back.

This is not a good gimbal. Though I feel mine may have been defected. over heated when on for only a couple of moments to the point of burning to touch. Touch display didn't work so couldn't access settings Sent back still awaiting refund. I will update on how good their customer service is

Really unhappy about this it only works for video but won't take photos which for £369 i expect it to do that is just stupid why would you design something to do one thing and not the other such a shame

é un gimbal più complesso e completo di quelli classici per smartphone, anche se l'impostazione di base è la stessa, qui abbiamo l'opzione di poter montare sia uno smartphone, sia una mirrorless che un action cam, ma non solo smartphone piccoli, anche quelli di grandi dimensioni come l'iPhone 13 pro max. Un'altra caratteristica che lo distinugue è una luce led da 800 lumen regolabile per temperatura ed intensitá che ci fornisce un supporto luminoso diretto, inoltre vi sono presenti dei filtri magnetici colorati per variare la luce. Abbiamo anche uno schermo touch facile da usare che ci permette di gestire tutti gli automatismi e di calibrare lo stabilizzatore per adattarlo alla fotocamera con i suoi diversi obbiettivi. Il peso del gibmal è di 730g e può sopportare un peso complessibo di 2,2kg, la ricaricarica è tipe-c e la ricarica avviene in 1,5-2 ore con un tempo di uso totale sulle 6 ore. La calibrazione è semplice grazie alle slitte degli assi e al software di calibrazione. I controlli sono sia locali con joystick che da remoto tramite bluetooth o con l'app zy play. in sintesi: Pro: -Luce ausilaria regolabile sia per intensità che per temperatura -schermo touch per un controllo efficace -app per controllo a distanza -leggero, ottimo grip -utilizzabile per fotocamere, smartphohne e action cam Contro: - la calibrazione è si facile, ma ci vuole un po' per abituarsi - lo sblocco dei blocchi meccanici è un po' complesso

I was looking for a lightweight gimbal that can carry my camera, especially for my set up, a7M3 with FE 28-60mm F4-5.6. Honesty, I have tried other professional stabilizers but ended up returning them because of their weight. So, when I saw they claims this gimbal only weighed 700g, I gave it a chance. Weight: 693g/1.5lbs (gimbal) and 787g/1.7lbs (gimbal + quick release plate+ tripod). Compared with other professional gimbals that can easily go over 1400g/3lbs without battery & accessory, crane M3 feels so light, no to mention crane M3 has a built-in LED light and battery. Stabilizer: Buttery smooth. These motors are powerful, did cancel out swaying. No skill, all technology. Built-in LED: 6W, 2600k-5400K, little but ideal for vlog. If you shoot vlog with a hat, that light would be good enough to light your face. Long press side scroll wheel to turn on and slide to change color temperature. The light info will show on the gimbal screen as you turn on the light. It also comes with some magnetic filters to change the light color, sweet free add-on. Quick Release Plate: just release the plate without boarding balancing, it is a reliable locking system, I never worry about it. Screen & Setting: responsive and decent brightness, no issues with their interface. Four-button in the main screen, gimbal modes, balance status for all axes, system Info, and Settings. Gimbal modes include: Pan Follow Mode /Lock Mode /POV Mode /Follow Mode /Go Mode /Vortex Mode /Portrait Mode. In the setting, there are Auto Calibration, Parameter Setting( torque/smoothness/follow speed/joystick speed/Deadband), Parameter Rese, and Control Wheel Customization. All settings act as they should, no misleading. Ziyun also provides firmware updates, maybe more features on the way? Lightweight is always the correct way to go. At least, I never got a good shot when I am tired.

Beim Crane M3 von Zhiyun hat man sich wirklich Gedanken gemacht! Qualität: ********** Der Gimbal und sämtliche Teile sind perfekt verarbeitet, wirken wirklich hochwertig und professionell. Als ich die Hartschale geöffnet habe, bekam ich ein Funkeln in den Augen, was an dem modernen Design lag, welches schöne Farbakzente besitzt. Einfach modern, edel und hochwertig. Funktion: *********** Alle Akkugeräte sollten vor der ersten Verwendung vollständig geladen werden, was die Vorfreude dämpft, wenn man das neue Spielzeug direkt verwenden möchte. Allerdings lässt sich der Gimbal wirklich schnell laden, weil er eine Spannung von 12V bei 1Ah unterstützt. Das Gerät besitzt unzählige, sinnvolle Funktionen, die mich begeistern. Angefangen bei den mechanischen Sperren der Achsen, die einfach praktisch sind, wenn man den Gimbal sicher und platzsparend transportieren bzw. einpacken möchte. Die Schienen werden mit Klemmhebeln gesichert, die ich so noch nicht bei Gimbals gesehen habe. Ich kenne nur die Sicherungsschrauben, deren Bedienung minimal aufwendiger ist und etwas mehr Zeit benötigt. Auch bei der Kameraplatte hat man sich Gedanken gemacht, denn diese besitzt einen Schnellverschluss, der separat, durch einen Schieber, gesichert wird, um versehentliches Öffnen bzw. Entriegeln zu verhindern. An den Motoren befinden sich Markierungen, die zur Orientierung beim Ausrichten der Kamera oder Smartphone dienen, damit das Gewicht gleichmäßig auf den Achsen verteilt werden kann. Intuitiv lässt sich das Gerät nicht bedienen, weil es einfach zu viele Funktionen und Modi besitzt, hat man sich die Anleitung einmal ausführlich durchgelesen und den Gimbal zwei oder dreimal verwendet, dann wird die Bedienung schnell routiniert, denn manche Schalter und deren Funktion unterscheiden sich nicht von anderen Gimbals. Ich musste nach der Ausrichtung keine Nachbesserung vornehmen, habe dennoch die automatische Kalibrierung ausgeführt, die bei anderen Modellen nicht vorhanden ist. Im Menü kann man sich sogar die Ausrichtung der Achsen betrachten und diese wieder auf den Nullpunkt zurücksetzen, was auch mit einem Tastendruck ermöglicht wird, falls man alle Motoren gedreht hat. Die Motoren arbeiten einwandfrei, sie ruckeln nicht, drehen sich flüssig ohne kratzendes Geräusch, sind kraftvoll und klappen nicht plötzlich ein, wenn die Achsen stark geneigt werden, was beim Sirui Swift P1 schnell passiert, falls man den Griff schräg nach hinten neigt. Abhängig vom gewählten Modus bewegt sich die Kamera schnell in die gewünschte Richtung, wobei auch sanfte Drehungen möglich sind. Das Display reagiert, trotz seiner kompakten Größe, präzise und schnell auf die Steuerung und Auswahl. Beim Scrollen habe ich noch nie ungewollt eine Auswahl aktiviert. Auf der linken und der Unterseite befinden sich Gewinde, um einen Standfuß, Stative, Griffe oder externe Geräte, wie z.B. Mikrofone, Leuchten oder einen externen Monitor zu befestigen. Außerdem habe ich unten Kontakte entdeckt, die wahrscheinlich für eine Ladestation gedacht sind, die ich aber bisher nicht gefunden habe. Die integrierte Lampe, gefällt mir auch sehr gut, denn diese besitzt für viele Aufnahmen ausreichend Helligkeit, zudem lässt sich diese, sowie die Lichtfarbe anpassen, was oft sehr praktisch ist.
