Good things come in small packages
Update: This fan started making a loud noise three months after I started using it. Then, on August 2, 2023, the fan stopped working. For the amount of money, don't buy this fan if you are looking for a fan that will last longThis fan is everything I needed for these hot flashes. I sleep better than I've ever had since menopause. In addition, the fan it quiet.

Lights strobing less than 4 months after installation
I purchased two of these fans in January 2023. They were used from that date to April 15, 2023. On or about April 3, 2023 the lights were flickering like strobe lights and had to be dimmed a bit in order to get the flickering to stop. It took 4 clicks on the dimmer. We are snowbirds so we returned to our summer home on April 16, 2023 and returned November 1, 2023. From that time until now they are flickering so badly that it takes 18 clicks on the dimmer or more than half of the light ring down in order for the flickering to stop! I can find no instructions on how to repair or remedy this problem nor am I able to reach the company!! This would be slightly less annoying if the light would keep the setting at the non flickering dimmed setting but it does not!! Every time the light is turned off it reverts back to high meaning that turning it back on means getting the remote and clicking 18 or so times for the flicker to stop!!! This renders the light useless after less than 6 months of periodic usage!! As this is in a bedroom it is often turned off and on over the course of a day and evening and is most annoying. All I want is for the seller to reach out and tell me how I can resolve this problem. We are seniors so we paid someone to install the light and now will have to pay to have it removed and replaced. Very disappointed.

LOVE these fans! Best ever!
LOVE these fans! Put them in several rental properties and our home! Everyone wants one and loves them!A wall pocket holder for remote would be the only addition I can think of. The remote back is not flat, so Velcro or removable picture hangers on the bottom work, but constantly falls off when turning off and on IF on the wall. In rentals, it's nice to keep up with the remotes, a wall mount by switch is nice! The pros FAR outweigh anything else! You can see in a room like never before, quiet, and circulate the air great! We are in Fl & Tx with record heat in 2022 summer. They take getting used to compared to the fan breeze of a reg blade fan and don't cool like that by themselves. However, they do help circulate the air and work great in helping reduce the air conditioning! Also for over a bed, the room stays cool without a fan directly blowing on you. A pro or con depending on preference. For low ceilings and kids rooms- it is perfect! Grandson's room has bunk beds that were right next to the reg ceiling fan! This solved the safety problem, better lighting, timer is awesome too! And QUIET!As stated- LOVE LOVE LOVE! Have several similar to this exact one- love them all!

Doesn't operate like a normal ceiling fan
The mounting bracket is fairly simple, but a bit different from typical fan mounts. It's completely flat to enable the flush mount against the ceiling, however it doesn't leave much space to push the wiring through. I was able to line up the mounting bracket against a normal ceiling fan box well and secure it, however I had to use my own screws as the ones supplied were too small for the holes in my fan box. Once the mounting bracket is in place and the wiring is addressed, you can insert the screws in all 4 corners of the mounting bracket and set the fan in place (by lifting it up and then rotating it into the final position). This proved difficult as the sheet metal deflected some and I ended up getting 2 screws in place and then pushing up on the fan and manually inserting the last 2 screws (2 person job). The wiring was less than satisfactory as the entire unit operates on only a hot and neutral. This means you cannot separate the fan power to a different switch from the light. Therefore the fan can only be turned on by the remote, and only when power is supplied to the light. If you wanted to turn on the fan in the middle of the night and the light switch is in the off position you would first have to turn on the light (which turns on the light no matter what you do), turn off the light via the remote, and then turn on the fan via the remote. This is not a good configuration if it's going to go in a bedroom. Also, it's common that even cheap fans supply a temporary hanging hook on the mounting bracket to suspend the fan while the electrician wires it up. This was not a feature so wiring was a 2 person job.The fan operates as advertised, the light is fairly bright and the air flow is decent directly under the fan. It's sufficient to circulate a small room although you do not feel the air movement everywhere in the room. The remote is a little twitchy as the IR sensor is simply fixed to the top of the fan with zip ties. If you are directly under the fan and using the remote you basically have to get lucky to get the fan to pick up the input. Otherwise you have to step out from underneath and position the remote within line of sight of the IR sensor (which may mean you are holding the remote up in the air).Overall the product is a 2/5 against what I expect to get for a $100 fan. It did what it was advertised it would do, I simply expected more for the money.
