BOSCH 6043C HEPA Cabin Air Filter - Compatible with Select Ford C-Max, Escape, Focus, GT, Transit Connect; Lincoln MKC

I didn’t realize how dirty a cabin filter can get until I pulled mine out to change it. I put a photo below to show how dirty they can get and how important it is to change every year or so. I neglected that task and as you can see, it was extremely dirty and a comparison of the new filter and the old. The quality of the Bosch is comparable if not better than the Ford filter, which I presume is Motorcraft. In fact, the Bosch with its HEPA capability, appears to be higher quality and filter more stuff out of the air. Changing the filter is fairly easy, although Ford makes it a bit more of a pain than it needs to be. In this case for my 2013 Escape, you pull the tabs of the fuse cover on the passenger side (under the glovebox) and then unscrew the plastic plate under the center console, next to the glove box. The plate takes a bit of work to get out and you most likely will have to squeeze the filter to get it out as well as squeeze the filter to put back in. The most important part is to make sure you line up the arrow with the air flow and the stiff part of the filter on the top and bottom. Screw the plate back on, which again is a pain to get lined back up and replace the kick plate cover and that’s it. The filter works as well if not better than the Ford and is reasonably priced at 16 bucks. 5 stars

Great fit easy install for 2014 Ford Escape . Well built great value and an overall great filter

I’ve bought these twice now, and they are a really good value for what you are paying. The filter doesn’t fall apart, and seems to catch a lot of things. Admittedly, they give your car a bit of a new-car smell, but that usually isn’t a problem. These are quite a pain to install, but that isn’t the fault of this manufacturer.

Perfect fit. High quality.

Very good, a HEPA rated filter, high quality. Only lost 1 star (4 out of 5 stars) because I feel like they could have put in just a little carbon powder in there to zap odors more. Other cabin air filters are activated charcoal (carbon) infused, but this one is not. Of course, this HEPA is high performance with smaller particle size filtration, so maybe the lack of carbon won't be missed. This Bosch does keep out smaller particles than the good Fram 'Fresh Breeze' one that does have carbon. Hard choice between the Fram and the Bosch, either is very good. The Bosch 6043C typically fits late model Ford Focus-Escape-Cmax, and it was a little tough to get in. Hard to reach the location and orientation, but not too bad. I changed this filter as soon as I bought my truck. I drive on gravel roads at times, and have driven about 20k miles in 2 years. Figured i should change it again. It was dirty, but still had plenty of flow for defrosting my windshield, and such. I have always trusted Bosch parts.

This filter fits my 2013 Ford C-Max Energi fine and was simple to install. It is not as dense as the original oem Motorcraft filter but I think it will function well and is easier to install than the original. I am satisfied.

A la perfección

Very good replacement for my 2017 Ford Focus SE. I usually replace this filter once a year. I found this a good fit for my car. Ford has made the filter housing hard to replace a filter but this Bosch filter fit easily. The filter works well as I see there is actually less fine dust and I don't smell the same outside odors coming into my car than previously.

Removed my cabin smell right away

Ford focus 2014 is my car. Wrong size was sent, we installed it and wouldn't fit upon removing it. Got damaged no way of returning it.
