Does not work on Cell Phones but gives crystal clear recordings on Landlines.

I bought this to use with my small digital recorder, to record business telephone calls for dictation. This pick-up mic didn't work properly. All recordings had an electromagnetic hum in the background, which was actually louder than the recorded calls themself. I tried it in another recorder of a different brand and got the same electromagnetic hum, so I know it's not my recorder. Something inside this mic isn't shielded properly to prevent this. Also, the suction cup doesn't stick to all type plastics. But even if it did, you'd still get the annoying electromagnetic hum in the background. I returned it for a full refund.

it does work, but will be pretty useless unless your recording device has a good amplifier in it. fun to put near electronic devices to hear them think, or to record sounds from devices where disassembly is not desired or possible

Works well

This mic would not work on our phone’s receiver due to the texture of the phone’s material. I feel the phone needs to have a very smooth surface for the suction to work. I have to use a rubber band to secure the mic to the receiver. The mic does pick up the sound and works well for the price.

Connected to my voice recorder, im able to record phone calls privately, and being that im in a single party state. I love this!

Works as advertised, easy to store.
