MXR Ten Band EQ Guitar Effects Pedal

Excellent EQ for both bass and guitar. Wonderful to carve the perfect tone for your instrument. It's absolutely noiseless (compared to other EQs I used in the past). Aluminium case able to take lots of abuse and keep the weight to a minimum.There *one* drawback: the LEDs. I didn't really believe the other reviews stating they were ridiculously bright, but Sweet Juvenile Deity™ bright is an understatement. I'm sure you can get permanent eye damage if you stare at them too long. If you play in a dark stage/venue, it's the only thing you (and your audience) will see. The upside is that if your stage setup requires a blue flood light, this is a cheap and versatile option.

This Equalizer pedal is definitely what I needed for my setup, there is a noticeable change in sound with each slider as you fine tune. I highly recommend this equalizer pedal.

This eq works very well but I'm gonna talk about the laser beam LED's.They are so bright that they actually hurt your eyes in a fairly dark room.I had to use white enamel model paint on the tops and a little on the sides of each slider.This works perfectly as there is still enough light to see each slider but they don't blind you anymore.And it beats putting new resistors on the light circuit.MXR what were you thinking here???

A great pedal. Needed a way to tweak the sound on my 5 string bass so that the low B wasn't so muddy, but without losing my lows completely. This pedal delivered. The only complaint that you've probably seen in other reviews is that it's REALLY bright. Every single lever on this pedal has a really bright blue LED on them. I'm talking bright enough for the lights to cause visual burn-in after staring for longer than 5 seconds. Seriously; I had to take a black sharpie to the levers to reduce the lumen count. That's enough to dock off one star, since it's hazardous to my eyes to even look at this thing while I adjust it.Great pedal though.

I wish I'd bought one of these years ago, it will breathe new life into your entire board. You can alter the tone and character of your pedals as you please and tailor your sound to different appliciations... like to take the mud out of humbuckers or the shrill highs out of single coils. AWESOME device, excellent quality like all MXR pedals. It lets you bring out the sound you want from your pedals.

Dramatically improves guitar tone in the signal chain. Dual outputs also allow you to DI record while still playing through an amp (or play through two amps at once)

I love how I can customize the settings so that each of my guitars has a unique voice. The ten bands make all the difference to my ears. But the lights are a bit too bright for my eyes.
