Works perfectly!
Used it on my Samsung UE32T5300 32” TV with a headset and it works great. It gives a white noise first when connecting it, but following the instructions, I went to TV settings and changed the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM, and it worked then for my Xbox, external hard-drive and all the other streaming apps on the TV.Although there’s no sound control on it and you can’t adjust the the volume with the remote when you connect it, you can still adjust the sound on the headset or speakers so it’s no biggie 👍

Great little box to help continued use of old tech with new
After getting a new tv with optical audio I was no longer able to connect my old Bluetooth transmitter to the audio as the connector was not compatible. After trying a cable that didn’t work I found this great little device that connects to the optical audio out and converts the signal to analog- there is a socket to connect my Bluetooth transmitter to and when turned on it once again connects with my Bluetooth headphones! The little device is easy to set up and comes with a usb power cable which I plugged into the usb connection on the tv and it powers the device. Very happy I’m able to still use my old tech again with new tv with the help of this great little device. The price is very reasonable and device small and unobtrusive so sits behind TV.

Cheap, Reliable, Does what it's supposed to (mostly)
Bought this so I could connect a cheap telly that only had digital audio output to some external speakers. The device is cheap, simple to use, and works as described. Only minor quibble is that the sound output from the converter (whether from RCA or jack outputs) is fixed and cannot be adjusted on the device itself. Typically this isn't an issue, except for one set of speakers I tried that required a lower input signal and where the output from this device was too high, resulting in sound distortion. The ability to adjust the analogue sound output from this device would make it perfect. As it is, it's still pretty darn good value for money.

Great for converting your digital TV to external speakers
Does the job.on timeConverts digital to analogue speakers.so simply to connect. All leads supplied.Highly recommend 👌I have used this converter numerous times and it's so simple to connect.Use the optical cable to connect your TV to the converter. From the output connect your cables from the unit to speakers (marked-L &R )And away you go.The quality of sound is fantastic. The only thing I am now looking at is how can I control the volume as at the moment my speakers have to be adjusted manually

Great little unit for the price.
I had to get one of these for my father in law as he wanted to use headphones with a new TV he had brought. The new TV only had a digital optical out for audio and therefore needed something to convert to analogue. This little unit does it extremely well.Don't forget as its an optical signal the headphones need a volume control!

Not bad
Does the trick. A bit noisey background.

May work with some TV's
Unfortunately this optical to Aux didn't work with my Fire TV optical out and non of the TV's Apps ie Paramount, Netflix etc would scramble the sound, so it's been binned, I kept the optical cable as a spare so didn't request a refund.

Worth the price
This converter works perfectly fine with our Hisense TV and JBL speaker. Worth it to purchase if you are having trouble connecting the newer Bluetooth speakers with Smart TVs that do not have Bluetooth connection.

Amazon deleted my review
So Amazon deleted my original review, after my second review the conpany reached out,and free of charge sent me the Correct Item .Amazon has been the Worst at showing you products Unrelated to what you searched for.Despite Amazon telling me I needed the simple adapter ( it worked great for my audio equipment, but not my intended tv )After my new review, the company quickly sent me the product with a volume control, as my tv,in Digital Audio Output my tv will not change the volume and its just screaming loud . The new product feels simplistic, similar size to a pack of cards, but so far,it works great. With the amazing customer service I didn't ask for,yet received. . . And seeing other reviews,I feel most are all correct, rhey seem poorly built, but when you get one that works, it surly works great, backed by amazing customer service.Hopefully any customer who gets a bad unit, just reach out and they will for sure help you out.

Using both outputs
I have this going to a wired and a wireless set of headphones using an RCA to headphone jack adapter for one of them. I already had a volume control device for the wired headphones and the wireless ones have volume control, so this works fine with no volume control. I was pleased that it works on both outputs at the same time.

Works as described but lacks troubleshooting documentation
I initially returned the product because I could not get it to work with my 3rd Gen Apple TV (digital) which I have hooked up to my tv connecting to a Bose Mini (analog) thru a 3.5MM input. I tried everything and all I got was a garbled sound thru the speaker. Not to be defeated, I did further research and came across an internet thread that recommended setting the audio output on the Apple TV to 16 bit. Determined to solve this, I ordered the product again and guess what? It worked! Deducting one star for poor documentation on possible troubleshooting fixes, but overall a good product that is inexpensive and converts a digital signal to analog.
