Great Range Finder
This is my 3rd TecTecTec rangefinder. Have an older version that lost a part (see picture). Not functional, but decided I might like to upgrade. Impressed with the new stabilization and just as accurate as my previous TecTecTec rangefinders. I also like the red contrast and the ability to change the slope just by pulling on the front part of the tool.Much better price, compared to other name brands. Just as accurate and functional as the guys I play with who spent twice as much.

Easy to use
Had a prior version of a Tec Tec range finder and loved how it worked compared to more expensive models. Decided to upgrade upon seeing this newer version just released as the new version had different features I wanted. It has vibration alert upon hitting your target as well as steading eye to lessen the shaking and better focus in on the target. Have been able to use it once so far and definitely liked the new features. And the best part is the price was right compared to other manufactures with similar features. Worth a look and a buy for sure.

the graphics are very clear
I really like this range finder especially the stabilization function and the graphics.the only minor issue is I have to adjust the focus several times a round

Plastic
The slope is turned off easily when place the RF in your bag. Have to turn it on all the time you need to use it. Not easy to aim and light feeling like all made of plastic. Has expected something more special than this given the price point

EVERY GOLFER NEEDS THIS ONE..
Excellent device- seems very accurate- measurements show to the decimal (tenths of a yard )- finds/locks target even if you aim it near the target. Small and lightweight. Well worth the money!

Impressive Tech and Clarity
-----Edit/Update (Knocking Off 2 Stars)-----Used it for a full round today. Performs perfectly. With the stabilization and "pin seeking" functions being clear standouts. But I really missed the magnetic feature my other rangefinder has. It's so much more convenient to be able to just stick it to the cart arm/frame. And is such a bummer that at this price point, the ULT-S Pro doesn't have a magnet embedded in it.I found the magnetic sleeve on their site. But the $50 price tag is crazy! And it especially stings when they offer it as a $29 up-charge when you buy the rangefinder through their site. Yet don't offer any similar bundle on Amazon. So if you're paying full price, and want to have a magnetic feature, you're looking at basically the same cost as Nikon's Stabilized rangefinder. And while the ULT-S Pro is very nice. I'd suspect the Nikon has better "glass". Not to mention being a much bigger and established name in optical equipment.Don't get me wrong. The ULT-S Pro is still a great rangefinder. I'm solely knocking off 2 stars due to the lack of magnetic functionality out of the box, and the crazy price/up-charge to get this feature.-----Original Review Below-----Got super lucky and snagged an ULT-S Pro on a lightning deal for $169. For that price, I don't think anything can beat it. Assuming it holds up over time. The stabilization definitely works. Don't expect it to be rock solid with zero movement. But it tames any wobble really well. Which is really helpful for lasering from 150+ yards. Understand though that it's only stabilizing the image. The stabilization certainly helps, but the laser still needs to be precisely placed. This rangefinder also has kind of a hidden feature that further helps to get accurate readings. Especially if the backdrop behind the flag is full of trees (which can be quite tough to read at times). In mode 2, you hold the power button down, and then kind of gently "sweep" the reticle back-and-forth across the flag/pin. The initial yardage you see might not be accurate. But after around 2 seconds of "sweeping" the target, it'll give you a dead on accurate reading. What it's doing is actually remembering every vertical object it sweeps. And then after 2-3 seconds, it shows the yardage for the closest vertical object it encountered. And it'll also display a "flag" icon on the screen to confirm it's locked onto the closest vertical object. When I tried this "sweeping" feature, it was kind of a mind-blown moment. Had to grab my other rangefinder (different brand) to see if it functioned similarly. Which is seemed like it might have. But didn't always give a consistent readings like the ULT-S Pro. So this feature is a HUGE bonus for the TecTecTec.The scan mode is also super helpful. Although I know many other rangefinders have this feature as well. Comparing against my other rangefinder (Harry Taylor Red), the TecTecTec is absolutely better. It gives quicker and more accurate readings. And the image clarity is noticeably better. On the topic of the image/screen, if it hadn't been for the lightning deal, I would have gone for the plain ULT-S. As I didn't think the red TOLED screen would be worth the $50 premium. But assuming the ULT-S has a similar LCD to my Harry Taylor rangefinder, the TOLED screen is absolutely worth it. It's significantly clearer and has much better contrast for picking up the reticle. And for the reticle, I like that it gives you 3 different options for the crosshair/dot type. It's a too early for me to say how well it'll do with battery life. But I do like that it's replaceable. My other unit has a rechargeable battery that can't be removed. And while it never gave me issues. It did worry me that if the battery failed, the rangefinder would be an instant brick.Other nice things include the ease of switching the slope feature on/off. And I also like that you have a choice between manually adjusting the brightness, or use it in auto-brightness mode. Which works quite well. And it might seem like a little thing, but the manual is really well written and detailed. Which is unfortunately kind of rare with a lot of stuff sold on amazon. The only downside compared to my other rangefinder is that it doesn't have a magnet for sticking it the cart frame or other metal object. I think there's a sleeve you can buy. So not the end of the world. But would be nice to have it included in the unit for the price.Bottom line, this is an outstanding rangefinder. I haven't used the stabilized version from Nikon. Which I'm sure is extermely nice. But I don't know that the Nikon could be justified at nearly twice the price. I'd expect the TecTecTec is at least 95% as good as the Nikon. If not entirely comparable in quality and performance.I will say that knowing the price I paid, it's hard to say that the normal $349 price is a great deal. Again, compared to the Nikon, it's certainly a solid value. But to say it's a 5-star value for the money, the normal price would have to be around $200-250.Overall, I'd highly recommend the ULT-S/ULT-S Pro. The stabilization is a game changer. It's feature rich and performs perfectly. Just keep an eye out for those lightning deals!

Not quick and not accurate
I bought this for the vibration lock in indicator. However, I could not get it to read quickly and lock in on the flag. Sometimes I would get 2-3 very different reading (I overhit the green several times because I chose too much club). I returned it, rather than struggle with it during my round. I didn't really need the slope, I just wanted the vibration indicator. For the same price I bought the Buschnell V5 with no slope.
