I wear my hair so short you can visually see my scalp. I am a black/Native American woman with 4 different grades of hair. The "kitchen area" (terminology indigenous of my culture, means the beady beads at the nape of your neck; well mines anyway) is a "LITTLE ROUGH" to say the least. This gel pomade stretches my hair out; it looks like I have a perm. It gives my hair a nice shine; not over the top like some hair pomades that make your hair look like textured patented leather.It holds its own for days, I normally wash my hair every other day. Yet all I would have to do is add water with a mister, brush and go. It is extremely sheer. I would give it 100 stars if it had no scent at all. I purchased the purple which smells like grape candy. It gives me subliminal cravings for Grape Lifesavers.Definitely recommend
