Scent is a tad bit overpowering. That said the product does not foam properly and isn’t efficacious. Bought it because it said Face and Beard wash, and that it would specifically work well against grime and pollution. I use a very small quantity of beard balm and a face moisturiser. At the end of the workday the product doesn’t foam at all after the first application. Needs to be applied and rinsed at least twice and it foams correctly only the third time. Disappointing.

I have been a long term user of PHY products and I love their products. Unfortunately this face and beard wash is the only product from PHY that does not work - at all !! Men with beard need a beard wash primarily for two purposes, to get rid of beard flakes and dirt and to make the beard soft. This products cannot do any of these. The major drawback of this beard wash is after using it your beard will start feeling itchy from the very next day (usually other beard washes keep the itch away for at least two days at a bare minimum). And your beard will feel rough and dry instead of feeling soft, increasing the overall itchiness and discomfort. Rule of Thumb: If you are a bearded man, please do not buy a beard wash that seconds as a face wash. Face and beard washes are NOT the same and the ingredients that go into one cannot supplement for the other. Please buy a beard wash that only promises to clean and soften your beard.

Beard will get very dry after using it. It will cause grey hair.
