It's about time! FABULOUS!
We have been battling ground squirrels for almost a decade. They're fast to breed, very destructive, and make the pasture a dangerous place for livestock. We've tried every trap we could lay our hands on, short of poison, to control these pests. At one point I built something similar, but the wood box and the wood traps never lasted long in our climate.I spotted these at a local farm store and we tried them for two days, before I went back and bought all they had, and then came here and bought more. The catch/kill rate is very high.We use posts near the traps to keep coyotes from walking off with a trap that smells of dinner, but that is an easy hack. It also makes the traps more visible as grasses get high. They're easy to use, easy to load and unload, easy to open, and work a charm. It's a dual ended mink box for those that are wondering. The only squirrels we found that it doesn't work on are the newly weaned ones. They're too light. But after a week of growth on them....snap.

Works Great!
We had both mice and some large rats making it into our garage since early Spring this year. They made a mess nesting in some of our things and even got into some of our food. We tried regular traps with minimal success. We’ve used the Tomcat bait stations in the past around the outside of our home, but for inside the garage we wanted to go with something that didn’t use poison. Recently, these new Tomcat Tunnels became available and it was great to see they are designed purely for trapping the pesky rodents, which makes disposing of them much easier. This tunnel is great because it has two entrances and is easily placed along walls underneath shelves or racks in the garage. It includes two large snap traps which can take out small mice apparently or larger rats. So we put it to the test. After 1 week we already had trapped 2 mice and 2 rats, using just peanut butter to attract them. Checking it every few days, we ran it for another month and got another half dozen. Since then, there has been far less activity, so I’m assuming we handled most of the issue. I’m so glad I don’t have to call the pest control company to handle our situation now. Bait stations outside, and Tomcat Tunnels inside – it really has been a fantastic combination.

Not a pack of 4 traps
Please be advised that you will only receive 1 trap set, not a pack of 4 as advertised. When I first received this product, I assumed this error problem was a warehouse packaging issue. However when I returned and reordered the product I still only received 1 set of traps. Very disappointing. The product seems to be of good quality and appears like it would work well. Unfortunately I will be returning the product and not reordering, because $75 for one plastic trap set is unacceptable to me.Please update the product description or correct the warehouse packaging issue for future customers.

Not a clean kill, poorly designed
I’ve used Tomcat rat traps for a couple years. Easy to use, every rat is caught cleanly at the neck, reusable. I dig a hole in the garden, pinch the trap open (not even coming close to the rat) and drop rat in the hole. No smell, no mess. The downside: it can also catch birds. I thought this tunnel would be the ideal solution but lock/plug is ridiculously hard to use. Caught a rat but its back half — disemboweled — was hanging out of the hole. Fighting to open the tunnel (lock or keyless require lifting trap with rat hitching a ride) and unhooking the bloody trap itself from its secure holder in the tunnel while trying not to touch the mangled dead rat swinging around was beyond gross. Not enough room in the tunnel for a rat to die instantly. Worthless and needlessly cruel.
