Nordic Ware 94777 Busy Bee 1.75-Cup Bitelet Pan Toffee

As an aspiring pâtisserie, I am gradually replacing my old not-so-great quality bakeware with better brands, sturdier products. I must say, as expensive as Nordic Ware products are, I am never disappointed in their performance. A quick tip, regardless of which brand you use, try to go with lighter colored bakeware pieces as you will have more control over the temperature and timing, aka fewer chances for your holiday cookies to end up burnt and in a trash can. This particular baking form is heavy, solid and... pricey. It is an investment and will last me for many years with proper care. I used the recipe that was printed on the packaging but used almond and coconut flour and coconut sugar instead (there's nothing better than a "healthy-ish" sweet treat, at least that's what I tell myself). I only brushed the cavities with melted butter and avoided any flouring, and everything came out beautifully, quick and easy. Do not let the cakes completely cool off before removing them as they will refuse to come out. The cakelettes were everyone's favorite and if you use those tiny plastic moon cake boxes (found them on Amazon), they will fit perfectly well inside. There were no issues when cleaning the form. I used a soft brush to ensure it was thoroughly cleaned but didn't get scratched.

I got this to make some mini honey lemon cakes but sadly the recipe wasn't right for this size. However the mini-cakes it made were very cute! The quality of the pan is astounding and even though it didn't work for my specific plan I'm eager to experiment with other things! Despite all the nooks and crannies it's pretty easy to clean, especially with the Nordic Ware bundt cleaning brush. It's got a good heft to it and not flimsy at all. If you visit the Nordic Ware website they have recipies for their specific pans so I'll be trying that next!

Nordic Ware never fails to impress. This pan is great for making sculpted looking brownie bites (bring out the features of the designs by dusting them with powdered sugar) or cute cakelets. The designs on the cakelets don’t show much detail unless you enhance them with a dusting of powdered sugar or a mixture of powdered sugar and cocoa powder. The pan comes with a delicious recipe. I suggest using baker’s release spray instead of greasing. I used butter to prepare the pan and then filled with pound cake batter. I baked them a little longer than usual and they turned out great. The butter and extra bake time allowed them to brown up and this enhanced the details of the design.

Used this for a luncheon at church. Cakelets turned out perfectly. First time using a Nordic ware pan. Clean up was super easy. Will definitely be purchasing from this seller again.
