Good Replacement to Nathan Training Log
Just received this today. I am pleased. I have been casting around for a replacement to the now defunct and sadly missed Nathan Training Log that I have used for many years of running.I have been running for a number of years and like the journal book format over electronic. I can carry it with me on a trail and it is flexible enough for me to keep extra notes in the margins. Where electronic formats mostly lack.Pros:1. Monday start per page. Seven daily entries. Write in your own dates. Can start at any week during any year.2. Good coverage of the exercise. Includes: Date, Distance, Duration, Pace, Speed, Heart Rate, Run Type, Calories, Comments, Route. Plenty of room to write in notes and multiple workouts per line. Actually a better format than Nathan's log.3. Totals at the bottom of the page for distance, duration, and calories.4. Compact. Portable. Portrait format. 6 inches by 9 inches tall. A bit larger than the Nathan Training Log.Cons/Room for Improvement:1. Book binding rather than spiral bound. I ended up breaking out the pages and ring bound it so that I can lay it flat.2. No column for weight. I will end up adding it to the comments or replacing the route title.3. No extra pages at the end of the book to put race notes, or stickers, or personal bests, etc. Needs 4 or more blank lined pages at the end.4. Be nice if there were a couple of graph-paper pages for a couple of charts.Overall a very nice log book, and I highly recommend it! A good journal, and a good fill-in for the old Nathan Training Log.

It’s exactly what I needed.
The journal makes it easy to assess my progress and compare the results from different types of runs and different routes

Good value
Book was received on time and has everything a runner would need

Single side per week, too busy.
Disappointing. It leaves zero room for commentary and literally just wants data. I can use Strava for that. Blank page is all you get. And the paper is so think that any bit of ink or whatever seeps through the other side of the page. The other picture is what I was hoping for. Traditional The Complete Runner’s Day-by-day (year) Calendar and is much better. Paper is thicker and it holds up pretty well. I’d like it more if it were hard cover.
