Best upgrade for my water system. I combined this with a battery powered nozzle and reusable silicone 5 gal bottle cap for daily water use. It’s perfect for filling bottles, brushing teeth, and/ or hand washing. Nice option for van life too. There was no funky taste straight out of the box and it came really clean, although I still gave it a good rinse before first use. Definitely more aesthetically pleasing than those ugly plastic 5 gallon jugs.

Jug is well made and fit my Culligan cooler just fine. The only concern I had was the shipping Styrofoam and box were totally inadequate for the trip. The thin piece of Styrofoam over the neck was in two pieces and the cardboard box was beat to pieces. I half expected to find the neck with chips in the rim but it was surprisingly not damaged. If you buy this jug be sure to inspect it for damage upon arrival. 100% satisfied otherwise.

I got these for a water dispenser. They are gorgeous and heavy duty. Pros: Glass is much better to store water in. It's healthier and it tastes better. These will last forever if cared for properly. I love that they are multi-purpose, and I can see myself doing other things with them. Cons: Obviously, they're heavier than plastic, and obviously, they can break. They don't come with lids, stoppers, handles, or carriers. They're just a hair too big for my bottom loader water dispenser - however the door still closes enough for it to run and can be held shut with something. Tips: They work with any universal lid made for similar 5 gallon plastic containers. Get mesh/net carriers for them if you're lugging them around regularly.

This product is absolutely fantastic and is exactly as described by seller. I consider the quality of this product to be “high end”, and the weight of the product makes it very durable and strong. I use this jug as my “vacation” jug as I put all of my loose change and dollar bills in it. I definitely recommend this product.

I bought two of these glass jars in 2018. PROS: This is a nice 5-gallon jug with clear, thick glass with an elegant design feature. There are a number of different tops available online, I bought the press-on type that has a pressable tab for dispensing. To dispense the water I lift up the jug and invert it to dispense the water into 1 gallon jars for daily consumption. Which brings me to the cons. CONS: 1. When filled with water, these jugs weigh approximately 42 pounds (based on the density of water) but it certainly feels heavier than 42 pounds. Of course, if the glass has the least amount of moister on it, it takes "considerable effort" to handle. I dropped one last week, which is why I am here today ordering another one, it was not attractive...(smile). At any rate, if weight is a problem, the 3-gallon jugs may be an alternative. There are also handles and dispensers for these types of jugs but I did not buy these particular items so I can comment on them. 2. With the small mouth (about 2 inches across), it will be a bit of a hassle to the clean. I have two and I only fill them with reverse osmosis water so I do not anticipate such a problem.

I used plastic jugs to refill my water, but one of them broke so I replaced it with this 5 gallon glass jug. I was a little skeptical at first because of the price, but it’s definitely worth the investment. It’s very sturdy, has thick glass, and seems to be overall great quality. The only things I would mention are that it’s definitely on the heavier side, especially after filling it up with water, so it does take some strength to handle if you’re using it as a water dispenser. It also doesn’t have handles, which makes it a little hard to carry and it doesn’t come with the corks. I had to purchase them individually so that’s why I am only giving 4 stars. Overall, I can recommend it if you don’t want to use plastic containers anymore!

This is a beautiful 5 gallon glass bottle in perfect condition. There is another vendor selling the same bottle at the same price but I noticed Amazon said that vendor gets lots of returns. Well in the comments section people were returning it because of many scratches. This is a reputable vendor selling quality bottles with no scratches. Be careful which vendor you choose.

Great replacement to the plastic jugs. I use two of these in conjunction with a water distiller. Kind of heavy to be lifting up and down, specially once full of water. Best to be slid across the floor if possible.

I got two of these 5G glass water jugs to store water for emergency use. They are quite sturdy, large and heavy but easy to move when empty - i.e. don't try to fill it with water until you position it in a location where you intend to use it. It does hold 5G.- used a 1G glass jug to fill the ones I purchased. Why glass over plastic - over time plastic jugs leach carcinogens which are cancer causing agents whereas glass does not - unless the glass is treated or leaded-glass which, from what I have been able to determine these are not (in process of getting a lead testing kit) Also for the environment reasons, I trust glass over plastic any day - glass is far easier to recycle than plastic. One final point - the jug does not come with a stopper, however I was able to find stoppers on Amazon that fit and seal the jug quite nicely. I would also advise if you are using this for emergency use to get a pump - electric or manual. Also found them on Amazon for a good price and in the process of purchasing.
