Richelle, The specifications in the manual for the machine (available on line) shows the US version is 110V. I also saw a variant for the European Market whose manual shows it is 220V. So it does not appear to be auto switching for Voltage. I am in the US and have the US version running on 110V.

You can by the machine stand-alone, machine + milk frother (priced and delivered together) or machine and frother, separately. Amazon usually shows the options under each machine description.

I do buy mine on the Nespresso site. Their is a mild and normal (only 2 types) and listed for the carafe

I would recommend a Keurig over the Nespresso Vertuo. The Vertuo makes 7.77 ounces on the default setting, and you can adjust it to make 17 oz.
