On September 9, Jacob Whitesides will release his debut album, “Why?”, which was recorded, mixed, and largely written in Nashville, TN in six swift weeks. A powerful thirteen-track collection, it’s brimming with standouts like the finger-clicked soul-pop of “Lovesick” (“A fun song about getting in trouble with your girl”) and “You Told Me So,” which deeply reflects on the stresses of a long distance relationship. His songs are, by and large, heartfelt and relatable, sometimes they’re breezy, but even when they’re upbeat, there’s often another level to the lyrics if you lean in.

I enjoy all of his songs
Jacob is one of the young artists with the potential for a long career. Though he will be compared to Shawn Mendez - he shouldn't. He has his own unique style and sound. I enjoy all of his songs. I've been supporting him for about three years and this album is incredible! I 10/10 recommend buying this you won't be disappointed his songs are so beautiful and relatable too and it's all around an amazing album!!!
