Great little tool!
Instruction are clear and easy to understand - This is JUST a torque wrench - does not come with any attachments - - In my opinion, it's best for use with bolts up to about 1/2" - if possible, get the bolt or equipment manufacture's specs on max torque. My purchase was for M8 (3/8") bolts at 12Nm One CAN order a wide variety of accessories (personal experience), and, as it's a standard 1/4 inch drive, most users will likely already have most everything that will be needed Once the tension is set, ( up to 150 inch/pounds [in-lb] or 16.9 Newtons/Meter [Nm] - ) there is no need to "read" anything - When the set torque is reached, there is a slight "bump" that is felt through the handle. (if your hearing is better than mine, you may hear a "click") The instructions suggest - wisely - to practice a bit to "get the feel" of proper operation. Personally, as I am getting old and my eyesight is getting bad, I prefer this method - - Because I don't have to struggle to read a scale or a display to know when I've reached the desired torque. (Being a bit of a gorilla, I have a tendency to snap bolts off - especially small bolts (1/2" is "small" to me) - so this tool is a great damage saver) Setting the desired torque is also very simple. Although some folks who are not familiar with the technique may have a short learning curve, it's just a matter of turning a knob until marks line up. The instructions have very clear pictures. The settings are in both ASE and Metric, so it is not necessary to mess around with conversion tables or calculators - although a conversion table IS included with the instructions. One precaution though. This is an all meta tool - if using on electrical equipment (which is my usage) it would be wise to wrap electrical tape around any accessory that may be at risk - and keep it in good shape. Shock hazard aside, a short circuit can cause extreme heat and serious burns. This precision instrument comes, as it should, in a nice hard fabric storage case with a tight zipper - the instructions fold nicely in the case - the tool is held in place in a pocket on one end, a Velcro strap on the handle. This case comes in a plastic bag and in a nice sturdy cardboard box - I store this combination in my home - not the garage or tool box - as befits a fine scientific instrument. One last thought - described in the instructions - my grandfather, a custom jeweler and watch maker, taught me that springs - and this device depends on a spring - springs have "memory" - that is, if left wound up, they loose their temper (as if they got angry and being cooped up too long) and 'forget' what they are supposed to do. SOOOoooo, always change the setting to the lowest point when puting this tool aside - especially when putting it into storage. Otherwise, it will loose accuracy over time.

Nice Torque Wrench for the Cost - Accurate and Handy
It's really nice to have a torque wrench for lighter needs and this one is perfect for it. I have to replace the oil pan on my wife's X3 and they are definitely bolts that cannot be too tight (they're aluminum one time use bolts). This was perfect for my needs. I have a the 3/8" Tekton and 1/4" Tekton wrenches and both are really handy, seem accurate, and are of good quality. They legitimately do feel well mad and have a positive "click" when you reach the assigned torque setting, and both are easy to adjust and read. Overall, these seem to be really nice for the price and I'm very happy with them both.

Works perfect!
This little 1/4" torque wrench is very high quality and works perfectly! Those in the reviews who say it doesn't click, have no idea how to use a torque wrench. I bought this specifically for replacing BMW direct fuel injectors where you need a very low reading torque wrench, and it was absolutely perfect. I should have bought this years ago for smaller bolts and torque values on things like valve covers and oil pans.

Torque wrench for lighter torques
Nice wrench! I use it for bike mechanical work. Easy to set and read the scales, seems accurate (at least when compared with other wrenches), and handy that it is bi-directional. It feels solid and smooth in your hands. The case is pretty nice -- hard shell with a zipper, and not to big to store easily. One thing to think about. The scales use even numbers for inch-pounds (10, 20, 30, ...) but not for Newton-meters (they are 1.1, 2.2, 3.4, ...). Most bike specs are even numbers in N-m -- a lot of parts even have the specs engraved on them. So using N-m is not as easy as it could be. I have seen other wrenches with the even numbers in N-m, so I know it can be done. Just something to consider, and the only reason for not giving five stars. Like all wrenches of this design, TEKTON recommends storing the wrench at its minimum setting, and so I do. Fully satisfied with this tool. Thanks for reading!

Excellent quality for the price - very accurate
I was skeptical and hesitant to purchase this Tekton torque wrench because it's not from one of my preferred German or Japanese brands for quality precision tools. When I read the 1-star reviews from other customers, I noticed most were about broken internals after use -- maybe misuse from my own experience now with the tool. What I received looked really well constructed and with high tolerances coming out of the box. When I used another torque wrench of known quality and accuracy to measure its accuracy, both were within a couple of inch pounds of each other -- well within error margins for even the best of these types of torque wrenches and well within my needs. This is a really great value tool for the price: good balance of accuracy and build quality for the price. I've used other Tekton tools in the past -- no, they are not quite in quality to "Wera" or "Knipex," but they sure do deliver in value if you know what to expect. This 1/4 inch drive torque wrench from Tekton is no exception to what I've encountered with the brand in the past.

Works great
I have several Tekton tools which work great, so I ordered this in-lb torque wrench for a recent project. It feels well-made and was easy to adjust. I was able to torque up some screws without any issues.

love itt should bought it earlier

Easy to set, with two scales (metric and imperial). Its a bit of hassle on the need to set it back to low tension value for storage.
