I bought one for my granddaughter after searching for a few days for one that is not a toy but not to expensive. For the price this one is nice and yes, the frame is wood. You would need to contact mfg to ask where it is made. Also you need to tap the keys correctly to obtain the best sound.

Q: Is there a case for it to store it in?

Mine did not come with any case. There was just the xylophone and two mallots in a cardboard container shipped in a cardboard shipping box. Sorry, no case.

Q: We received ours as a gift. However one of the nails came broken, is there a way to replace it?

Probably. I would take another out and try to match it at the hardware store. Or contact the seller and see if they might send you one. I love mine.

Q: It states in the description that the bars are removable, but doesn’t come with instructions. How do you remove the keys?

They're held in with nails, you can pretty easily pry them out with the reverse end of a hammer
