I bought two bulbs and they both went out within a week. Anything I can do?

Check your lamp; it could be defective, So far I have not had any issues with these and I only use these and on two different cages.

Can this lamp sit on a screen?

I put it on the screen doesn't get too hot I use 75 watt

At 18" above what temp would this get the basking spot? I don't want it to get above 90?

I have 75W lamp. It is about 17" above basking rocks. The turtles like it and it doesn't raise the water temperature that much.

Is this light good for frogs also?

If you use the correct wattage necessary, you should be ok.

Good little bulb

Worked great. Good heat and fit my lamp perfectly. Burnt out after a few months but I had the lamp at an angle which can cause blow outs, can’t blame the bulb.

High heat

I was pleasantly surprised with the brightness and heat this bulb gives off. It made a remarkable difference in the temperature in my tank. It took it from 92's to 101's. My bearded dragon loves to bask under it. I don't know how long it will last as I just started using it last week. So far I believe it will be a long time. Excellent value for the money.
