Love it.
Worked well for my strange application. My Motorhome has three TV’s in its relatively small space. I know, this is a true 1st world problem but the remote IR signals bounce around just enough to reach more than one tv at the same time. LG TV’s let you set a remote code so that you can pair a remote to a TV but the remote code doesn’t seem to isolate to power button. So when I try and turn on one TV it turns on both or all TV’s. I placed one if these over the IR input on one of the TV’s and now I can easily control which TV get the ir signal.

Good Product. Good Price. Just Hard to Slide Open and Closed
The tabs are a little taller than I'd hoped. But they open wider than the others, allowing me to see the little green "camera on" light, so I'm okay with it. The price was right, it works, and it's easy to install. The adhesive was fine, too, and when I close my MacBook Air I don't notice it holding the lid up or anything. The only problem I have is that (as others have noted) sliding the window open and closed takes a bit of effort. But it's not a deal-killer or anything.

Perfect for the Camp Snap camera LEDs.
I bought these for the Camp Snap digital camera. The camera has LED numbers on the back to show image count and a few simple codes. It is bright. I mean bright. This little slider is perfect for covering it up yet allowing access when needed. These sliders are sticky as heck, I do not expect it to fall off anytime soon. Perfect for this unintended purpose!

I'd Recommend That You Pass On This One
Extremely thin plastic. It's so thin that the sliding cover doesn't stay in the channels and will just fall out with little movement. I'd recommend you pass on this one.

Things to Know Before You Buy
First of all, it does what you want it to do. It blocks off your camera. That said, be aware that you might have some issues. First, if you have a mic or light sensor next to your camera, it will be blocked off when your camera is blocked off. Second, it is somewhat flimsy. Good because it is thin. Bad because, when it is open, there is very little holding it together. So, you'll want the default to be closed but, that closes off your mic or sensor. Third, if you have a lip on your laptop screen, this will have to sit below it. If your camera is very close to that lip, it might cover part of your camera so watch that. It worked on one of my laptops but was it was close. One good thing, if you put it on wrong, it's hard to get off but, when you put it back, the adhesive still holds. Not sure I'd buy it again for my next laptop but no reason to replace it right now.

Check the bezel width on your laptop
Works well. Would break under any significant stress, but an item like this would not typically encounter such. The width of the sliding window is .5 inch so check the bezel on your machine. I am using on a Dell 5000 series and it is a hair wider than the bezel. This does not affect its performance or any issue with closing the laptop. To slide open or closed you press against it and slide. The surface of the window is perfectly smooth with nothing to grip. There is no jimping or traction grooves on the item so it is just the pressure and friction from your finger that moves the sliding window. A pebbled surface would be an improvement. Would not withstand any abuse but again, not something likely needing to do so. Does its job.
