My husband and I bought this set of J.A. Henkels International Premio back in April of 2017. So we've had them almost a year now. We are very happy with this purchase! This is a really nice selection of knives for the cost. We use all of them. We aren't professional chefs, so we didn't want or need to spend a fortune, however, we still wanted quality, plus knives that were forged. Nothing too cheap. Well this knife set has worked out perfectly for us and everyday cooking. They do stay sharper if we keep up on the honing as recommended by the Company. We're not always good about keeping up with that, and I can tell when I've let it go too long. Honing your blades is an important step even with the most expensive knives. There are good tips and video's on U -Tube on how to correctly hone your blades. I at first felt scared to do it, but it's actually not hard at all once you get the hang of it. I like the handle on the knives. I have good control. My husband feels the same. We like that the handles aren't wood, so no maintenance there. We do hand wash them only. These should last us quite a long time. I did also purchase the Henkels handheld knife sharpener, which I've used only once after neglecting the honing in a couple knives. In our opinion, for the normal everyday homecook you can't go wrong with this set. It was very hard to choose, but no regrets for us on this one.

I appreciate the forged knives quality ( only steak knives are stamped ) . Everything high quality and very sharp. I was cabinetmaker for many years , working with dull tools is tough and dangerous . These are pleasure to use as well as clean , a quality product

It was time to get rid of my mismatched knife set and invest in good quality, sturdy, well made knives. I have been told that Henckels knives are a smart choice. I was very impressed at how quickly my order came and how beautiful the knives are. My husband, who is a wood worker raved about the lovely wood used for the butchers block. My one complaint is that the steak knives are not as high a quality as the other knives in the set. Good thing there is a knife sharpener since I already had to use it because the tip of the knife was bent. Glad the set comes with 8 steak knives in case something happens to one of them! Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

Best bang for the buck! I saved up to buy these knives and they did not disappoint. I've used many knives in the professional kitchen setting. I know quality when I hold it in my hand. The handles are great material. There's a nice weight to them. The handle shapes are less than ergonomic but for my gripping style they suit me well. I love the variety it gives me. Chef's knife, santoku knife, the option of paring knife, and the utility blade is my current favorite amongst all my knives. The serrated knife never disappoints. They stay Sharp. I'm looking forward to many years of use.

I have been searching for a good quality knife set for a while now and think I have finally found my winner! I’ve had this set for over a month now and just LOVE it. The sharpness of the knives as well as the weight and feel are awesome! It comes with all the different types of knives and various uses that I will ever need. It comes with a knife block. If I have any sort of suggestion it would be to make the knife block a little bit wider. While the knife block does fit all of the knives just fine a little bit more room (width) in the knife block would be nice. It also come with a honing rod to help keep the blades on your new knife set nice and straight. As for cutting...this is the part I am most excited about! I love to cook and find myself using these knives multiple times a day. They cut beautifully. I’ve used them for vegetables, fruit, meat, nuts and bread and they all have performed great. Very sharp, nice and easy to work with and good steady hand control. Perfect for my needs! If you are looking for a good quality knife set that you will be able to use and enjoy for a long time this set is perfect. I highly recommend!

We purchased this set after the holiday season. We had a couple of gift cards and had been looking at knives for months. We had a cheap basic set. It rusted so quickly. Although I didn't know what I do now about knives. Since purchasing these beautiful knives I wash and dry them by hand immediately after using them. So fat 3 months into using them daily and no rust. Upon delivery we were missing 2 steak knives but after reaching out to seller we had the 2 missing knives by the end of the same week. Great communication and assistance. The weight and shape are 10/10. They do everything they should perfect. I'm glad I let my fiancé into getting a nicer set than I thought we needed. These will last forever! Knife set is high quality, looks and feels professional and very solid/sturdy. I feel like i can take these to my grave, wont be needing new knifes unless someone robs my house and takes them.

Very good knifes. You have to be very mindful when using them the first times, I cut myself several times assuming I had my old unsharpen ones.

I am very pleased with this purchase! I did a lot of research and am glad I picked up this set. It has all of the knife selection I wanted, plus the knives came to my door in perfect condition and razor sharp. I’ve been cooking with the same knife set for 20 years and finally decided to upgrade — I have zero regrets with this purchase. The knives are weighty because they are forged, and they handle nicely.
