Out of the Comfort Zone

A fabulous insight into the life of Ray Comfort covering his life, how he came to faith and his ministry with the lost and homeless in LA. Ray is a confident writer and this book is a page turner which is full of encouragement, ideas and a big smattering of humour. Really enjoyed this book and it was great to learn a bit more about how Ray Comfort got to be who he is and what he has done on the way.

An easy read. A very committed and courageous Christian. Beware, some dad jokes in there!

Loved this book. So many wonderful instances of God's powerful works in our lives, and how He loves each and every one of us.

Excellent read.

This is the authorized autobiography. You will read about his many outreaches to some of LA's poorest people, encounters with a demonized duck, and some serious encounters with actual demoniacs. This book offers some great insights into Ray's early life, and how he ended up the US. Ray Comfort will not fail to inspire you to more for your King Jesus Christ after reading this.

Ray Comfort describes how he came to faith and developed his evangelism ministry in one of the toughest districts of Los Angeles, California Written with a good dose of humour, I found the book to be inspiring and very entertaining.

Book takes you from his humble (and Honest) beginnings in his home in N.Z. to the U.S. I believe the Living Waters site is THE BEST resource online, or anywhere else I've seen for that matter, on How to Practically witness and evangilize for Christ. Reading this book (and any of the other "Comfort books" I've read) are practical resources on the realities of sharing our Faith (as we are remanded to DO!) with others. IF you want to more Boldly ENERGIZE your Faith and Sharing with others, you need to read this book! Ray is the "Energizer Bunny" of Street Evangelists and that excitement and exuberance (For CHRIST) wears off on YOU! It also gives you a glimpse of hat made Ray one of the Best, as he recounts not just the "exciting" street witnessing, but also the loving care that he and his team have offered to the down-trodden for decades. We need MORE Ray's of Comfort in our World and this book will help propel you in that direction! Read it and then Share it with friends.

Riveting accounts and encounters of the God kind. I'm really impressed at much of the jaw-dropping stories in here. Would gift this to both believers and seekers of Truth (the missing link in many of our lives).

I highly recommend this book. It’s inspirational. Bought this for my son and he loved the book.

What a wake up call. I'm a Christian (born again a few times-lol) and I was always bothered by why I didn't feel much of a change. Overall I'm a people pleaser, however, when I would think of others perishing in the lake of fire, I was concerned why did I not care enough to get out and evangelize or make some kind of effort in that arena. After reading this book and God has a Wonderful Plan for Your Life, I realized my heart never repented. Jesus's everlasting love fits like a hand in glove to anyone who has had a failing relationship/marriage, abuse or neglect in their life. Jesus loves me!! It was never, I have sinned against a holy God with my face planted to the ground in fear and reverence. After my realization and begging God's forgiveness, I can feel a new heart. I want to read and be with God and He is on my mind all the time. I make the effort to have God first in every area and to love my neighbor. God bless this ministry.
