Good packaging Exactly what I expected Hooked up camera monitor ...
Purchased this item for 2012 Chevy Silverado extended cab with ARE Topper.I have not hooked up to my truck yet. Got it on Monday as expected.Good packagingExactly what I expectedHooked up camera monitor cables to a 12v battery prior to installing on my truck and everything works and looks great.Cameras are a bit big for my truck as these are made for trailers, RVs, I have other vehicle with factory cameras and the tiny cameras and small monitors make them useless for constantly connecting to a hitch/ trailers.Bonus feature the monitor has a button to adjust screen for upside down mounting.Only issues I see so far is best place camera mounting due to camera size, but I can figure out a great solution.I wanted the monitor to have a better flip and swivel mounting but I knew my installation would be custom. I also did not want to buy an expensive audio system as I have been buying running boards and lifting truck as well.I was skeptical about buying this item felt that it could not be that good since relatively low cost but this exceeds my expectations quality of camera and monitor. I work in IT and have used electronics for years.Note: wiring diagram is one small paper. They should have made it lager to see. Had to use camera on iPad then blow it up to see well. Would have been nice to show some different installation guides pictures or ideas on running wires for less knowledgable people.NOTE*****++ This system has constant power on for cameras. Meaning there is a battery draw for the glowing lights on camera. Insignificance at this time. I sent Camecho company a question about what is the exact draw on the battery when not used. I might add a timer switch or on/off to the main circuit 5$ to 10$ item.

A Good System at a Reasonable Price
I wired this as an always on rear view camera for my 2004 Toyota Sienna Van conversion. I did not do a deluxe install. I mounted only one camera under the left side of the visor over the rear window and ran the wire down the channel outside the door seal and across the seal near the bottom. Since the van has a bed on the left side I let the wire lay on the carpet behind the bed to the front of the side door then pushed it under the plastic kick panels and up behind the dash over the pedals and into the radio compartment. I ended up with a large roll of wire zip tied out of the way above the gas pedal. Since this vehicle has no easily accessible fuse panel in the passenger area I hooked the two red and two black wires into the radio harness. As you can see in the photos I already had a rats nest behind the radio from the adapter box required to mate my Android radio to the car JBL sound system. Adding the wires for the camera did not help but it works.I had not looked at this camera setup for almost 1 1/2 years so it took me a little experimentation to remember how to wire it. It is simple enough once you get the concept. I powered the system up with a LiPo jumper battery before committing to putting it in the car. I was a little disappointed to find that I could not turn off the parking grid. I may buy a non grid camera or just learn to live with it as is. The night vision is not super but overall I am pleased.

Nice but ...
Great for the money. It took a little figuring to figure out how to install ....not the best instructions , and I am very well versed in this kind of thing . As others have said in reviews you have to use the remote that comes with it to change between the 2 cameras. the buttons on the monitor wont do it, contrary to what they seem to indicate . Picture is pretty decent . The only issue I have is that at night the picture gets ""whited out" some by other car's headlights . I have played with the brightness and contrast controls to no avail. But the picture is still helpful as the problem with white out is more when cars are pretty far back . This problem occurs with a camera have mounted on the side of my stepvan aimed at the lane to my right so I can see vehicles better in my blind spot . Another thing i have noticed is that the image can get blurred when it is raining . There are little hoods on the cameras which give limited protection from rain . I'll probably install a bigger hoods to better protect the lenses. The night vision other for some glare as mentioned works great , and colors rendition is great . I'd say very good overall for the price .. i was somewhat surprised and pleased.

buy it!
took a trip from North Carolina to Alaska towing a 24 foot enclosed trailer. Could not see to change lanes with stock mirrors. It comes with 2 cameras so I set one up off back of trailer and back of truck. I can switch between views with the flick of button or remote.GREAT picture under the right conditions. Useable under all conditions I faces....ie bright sun rain darkness snow sleet and tornado weather. Screen does flash and bloom at night with headlights or street lights.Regardless..........IT MADE THE DIFFERENCE!I order the extension cables to make the extra 30 feet. Get the connections right....i had to order adapters. For the price.....well worth the money. It was a godsend when I had to drive thru cities.
