The measurement of the hasp when closed is 3 1/16" (78mm). Open it spans 3 1/2" (89mm). The latch portion is 1" (25.5mm). The entire width of the latch is 1" (25.5mm) Hope this is helpful.

Q: how much does this stick out from the cabinet (depth?) I want to lock a drawer that is inside a cabinet so only have a small amount of clearance

You may be better off with a "cylinder lock". Drill a hole, screw in place, and when you open with the key; a small latch turns to the side allowing the drawer to open. Amazon sells different types. they come in different sizes too.

Q: Will a regular master combination lock fit in this item?

I bought this hasp for use with the M175XDLF Master Lock - a fairly large lock with a 3/8" hexagonal shackle. Shackle wouldn't quite fit through the hasp eye, so I drilled the eye out with a 3/8" bit (max speed, slow feed). Works fine, although since the stainless finish inside the eye is removed now, time will tell how much corrosion I get.
