I don't typically write reviews, but this product gave me a change of heart. I have acne-prone, oily skin and spend lots of time (and money) taking care of my face. I have been to many dermatologists and cosmetologists for benzoyls and chemical peels. My previous (and favorite) brand, Face Reality Acne Med is a 10% benzoyl peroxide that is only available from specialty retailers. It's a fantastic product with very few additives that you leave on your skin overnight - it cleared up my skin when my face was at it's worst. The only downside is that it cost about $15 for 2 ounces. Now I am clear and looking for a benzoyl product to maintain my skin that is more affordable and easy to get - I was hesitant to buy this product at first. Due to my sensitive skin and oily complexion, my cosmetologist and dermatologist always recommended that I shy away from products with oil-based additives. I had concerns that the additives in the Humane product, namely Cocamidopropyl Betaine, would cause irritation as it was a coconut oil extract - but I was happy to be wrong! The Humane Benzoyl wash has worked great and is gentle on my skin. When I'm in a pinch, I even leave a dab of the wash on trouble spots overnight and it clears up the redness quickly. I really loved this product because it has very few additives and has one of the highest levels of Benzoyl Peroxide (10%!) available on the market without having to go to a specialist. Most importantly, it is very affordable and easy to order online. I even gave a bottle to my cousins who had light acne and their skin cleared right up within 2 weeks. They had never used any skin-care products before and it did not cause any redness, dryness or irritation when used regularly as a wash. It's worked great for me and others - I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a benzoyl product to keep their skin clear (maintenance) or who has light to moderate acne. I am on my second bottle and love it.

As I've only taken the time to write a few reviews in my decade as an Amazon prime user, this product is certainly deserving. Real quick background - I'm in my 30s, I still have minor acne, with some moderate breakouts occasionally thoughout a month. I've been a user of proactive, which did an OK job, but I wanted to see if there was something better. I just bought a "philosophy" kit (4 products, I wanted cleanser, moisturizer, etc, all in one place). The "philosophy" product led to THE WORST, most embarrassing breakout I'd ever had in my life. I didn't even want to leave the house. After that, proactive was taking too long to revert back to my norm. I had to try something else. I switched to Humane. Honestly, within days, my face was reverting to normal. After a week, my face was clearing up better than my light acne days. Now, only about 2-3 weeks in, my face is feeling the cleanest it ever has, with my face only at extremely light acne and noticing this diminishing even further. I use this twice daily - once in morning and once in the evening. I want to remain extremely consistent as I see results improving almost daily. So far I'm extremely satisfied and I'll add to this review a month or two down the road. I make sure to follow up each time with a moisturizer. There is no dry/dead skin on my face, as I've been using various skin products for 15+ years. I can feel that it seems slightly dry after using, however, so I make sure to use a moisturizer (as a semi inexpensive product on amazon, I use Olay Regenerist, which feels slightly oily... But good price, has 15 spf. I'm a bigger fan of the Clinque moisturizer, but that can be more expensive). Anyways, things are going well. I feel more confident already as I don't need to clean my face mid way through the day or check if something is breaking out. I hope this continues to improve. After trying SO MANY products, this is working extremely well. I know it's early, but I highly recommend you try it.

This is definitely a strong acne wash and you can tell it’s formulated to be effective. The 10% benzoyl peroxide is powerful and it does seem to help reduce breakouts, especially on the back and shoulders. That said, because it’s a high strength formula it can be a little drying if you use it too often. I found it works best when I use it a few times a week rather than every day. The cleanser itself is easy to apply and rinses off well. Overall it’s a solid option if you need a stronger treatment for body acne.

I’ve purchased this many times. I prefer the stronger formula. Leave it on your face for a good three - five minutes before washing off. You’ll feel the burn but that’s normal. I don’t have bad acne; for me, it helps keep my oil at bay. I’d definitely purchase again. And I use the pads that the brand sells in addition to the face wash.

Years of bad acne. Used for few days on face. Bam cleared up. Then did body. This is magical stuff. Tho dont leave it on skin more than few mins. Wash good.

Great quality wash. But the soap dries inside the nozzle and it's difficult to get out sometimes. Need to change the packaging but overall it's worth it.
