Does exactly what the company states. Don't let the 2" of the binder fool you - it will strongly hold a lil bit over 2" of stacked documents in the tension binding ring. I'm honestly shocked at the simple, but so awesomely effective design of this thesis binder. It is well worth the price.

For the benefit of the person who said it took three people to open this springback. It is actually less demanding than many European ones I have used. The trick is to hold one side of the book in your knees while you pull back the front cover with your other hand and put the papers in with the other. Well made. Nice colors.

I have computer journals I've wanted to print into books, but the cost and formatting required were above my capabilities. I didn't want a 3-ring binder book either. After much searching, I found this clamp-back binder that meets my needs and is easy to use. I now have a lovely (pressure) bound journal that looks and feels like a hardback book. I have ordered two more binders. This is the only binder of this kind that fits American size paper (8.5" x 11") that I have found. It is a little pricey, but works for me.

Very impressed with the quality of this binder. Like that you just open and place the sheets without having to punch holes in the paper and that you can open to remove or add pages without a problem. Just what I was looking for!

This wonderful "Bindertek 2-Inch Premium Leather Clamp-Back" Binder is really professional-looking! It was the perfect solution for a printed booklet that was over 200 pages that I COULD NOT 3-hole punch. The leather cover is very nice, and inside included a rich, black insert page already bound for excellent presentation. The "easy-to-use" rating gets a 3 only because the clamp is so very strong, and with the amount of pages I needed to insert, it literally required two assistants, one each pulling on the front and back cover as I inserted the pages (a 3-person project)! I could NOT have completed the pages insertion alone, nor with just one other person (AND, it took us 3 tries to get all the pages in the proper distance from the center/spine). BUT, once the pages were installed, this portfolio offered the most PERFECT presentation for a keepsake treasure book!

I had never used a springback binder before but discovered them when searching for a nice looking binder for a wedding ceremony script. I found this one, a 8.5 x 11 format and another that was an A4 format (different company). I ordered both but liked the A4 binder for my needs with regard to size, durability and price. I returned this binder. It seemed good quality but almost double the cost.

These binders are a bit expensive, but they are a classy way to present many-paged documents without putting holes in them.

The spring back binder is unusual in N. America but more common in Europe. It works well as a binder but is expensive compared to three ring binders. Since no holes are needed in the papers inside, documents can be stored intact.
