Q: What is the distance between the two fasteners when laid flat ? I'm trying to figure out how much room I have to hold multiple badges.

I'm not clear how you'd be using these - would you be using a clip to hold one badge, but then have several clips on a single splint ring? Or, would you be using the clip end to hold more than one badge? When you say two fasteners, do you mean #1, the fold over snap part, and then #2 the metal clip? Or, I just realized, if you are using the metal clip's holes on the 'top' to hang from a ring, and then threading the plastic part with the two snap halves through several badges - if you're doing that, then you could hold probably 3-4 badges. Done that way you'd have to slide them sideways to access the info/any barcodes on them as there's not enough room for the top of the card to rotate within/between the snaps without possibly opening the snap occasionally. Does that make sense? You could likely stuff more badges in there, but you would lose maneuverability, probably defeating the purpose.

Q: How wide is the strap and does the clip swivel?

The with of the strap is about 1/2" and yes the clip moves.
