It does what it's supposed to do
I was making a balsa model of a PT-13 biplane, which came with a vacuum-molded seven cylinder engine that looked like crap. Since this is for display and not for flying I wanted an engine with much better detail, and decided to suss up my own model. The cylinders are a 1/2" plastic rod that's been tapped into a thick-threaded bolt, the tubes are going to be brass bent to appropriate shapes and wires will be painted to the appropriate colorsBut I could NOT find anything to make a seven-sided crank case. The vacuum-molded engine wasn't one I could use. I couldn't get clay to shape properly, either. I knew if I had the right size of heptagon, I could just draw it out, cut it from balsa in layers and laminate one together. Finding the template for the heptagon in the first place was hard. Finding the right size of template was even harder.And this provided both the right shape in a wide enough variety of sizes to make my build perfect.If something does everything you need and want it to do, it merits five stars.
