The Perfect Compact Phone: Great Storage & Connectivity, A True Winner Over the Jelly 2E!
I have used the Jelly 2 for several months now (since August), and I am extremely happy with this device. It is a fantastic alternative to the giant smartphones on the market today. ✨ Design, Feel, and Portability The 3-inch screen is what sold me. It is incredibly compact and fits perfectly in the hand. It's not like the giant phones everyone uses today—this size is excellent. It feels great for this price and is easy to clean. Note on Text Size: The writing is small, and the on-screen keyboard is tiny, so this phone is not for everyone. However, you can enlarge the text within messaging apps, and you can always zoom in by pinching the screen when scrolling through web pages. Furthermore, I often use the microphone for voice-to-text when messaging or for voice searches on the internet, which bypasses the keyboard size issue entirely. It features a handy slot for a lanyard, which is great for carrying it securely or swinging it around. ⚙️ Performance and Usability I can download all my essential applications, including my favorite local music player, Musicolet (Google Play stopped this, I guess they think everyone streams, but we don't!). Crucially, this phone handles large memory cards well; I currently use a 256GB SD card specifically for my music files, and it works perfectly for massive local storage. Jelly 2E Comparison: Do not get the Jelly 2E! That phone is supposed to be the "next up" model, but it felt like a major downgrade. The connectivity on the 2E was terrible, but the Jelly 2 is fine; calls are clear, and texting is standard. Wired Audio: It has a 3.5mm headphone jack! This is an awesome, essential feature for wired calls, receiving calls, and enjoying music. Bluetooth: Connects straight away without any issues. 🔋 Battery and Usage The battery life is acceptable. I use the phone frequently and heavily, so I do charge it daily, but it has handled my usage well over these six months. 📸 Camera and Screen Quality The video camera and audio quality are good. I think it's definitively better than the Jellystar Mini video/audio quality, based on my experience. Pictures are decent, but since I don't prioritize the camera part, I don't care that they aren't the absolute best. Watching YouTube is cool, but don't expect a tablet-like experience; this is a phone, and that's all I wanted. ⚠️ Note on App Compatibility The only small issue is with specific app compatibility (like the eBay app) due to the Android version. However, for those who know how to safely find and install APK files from trusted sites like APKMirror, this is easily worked around.

Big things in a small package. You'll not expect this type of performance in such a tiny device.
Let me elaborate on the statement above. This device is £159 ( at the time of purchase) and at such a tiny size of 3inch, you'd expect a slow and barely useable handset with probably a cut down version of Android Go instead of the full version Android. You'll be sorely mistaken! This device comes with an Octa-core (8x) processor equipped with 6GB of RAM and comes with a full version of Android 10 out of the box with an already available Android 11 update once you set up your phone. Because of this, the screen is quite responsive and scrolling is quite snappy. This device is NOT slow. It's essentially a Mid-range Android handset that normally cost £500 but in a small package. One thing to note is that a lot of the mid range Android device tend to come with 3GB to 4GB RAM and rarely come with 6GB. The processor in this device might be about 1 or 2 years old but because it was a mid/high end processor back then, still makes it more than adequate for this device. If you're sick and tired of carrying 6.5+ inch devices then this might be your secondary phone or even a primary phone for you. You'll not miss out on your every day apps including banking apps etc plus you have NFC for contactless payments. Pros: - Dual SIM or 1 SIM and 1 expandable memory card but it already comes with 128GB internal memory. - Headphone jack!! (What did Samsung & Apple say about their big phones? Not enough space for a headphone jack?) - NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, IR Blaster (InfraRed so you can use your device as a remote control for TV etc) - Full Android 10 (to 11 after update) instead of Android Go so most of your standard apps are supported - 6GB RAM & 128GB internal memory giving it plenty of memory to even game!! - Mobile hot spotting, if I travel or go somewhere for a few days then I tend to carry my tablet so mobile tethering is perfect so If I need the big screen experience then I can always tether my Jelly 2 to my tablet. - The size of the device is just perfect. Although I think a 3.5inch might be the sweet spot with a slightly better resolution. - You get a silicone case plus screen protector (1 already applied on the screen and a replacement in the box). The silicon case also has a lanyard hole and box containts a wrist lanyard so you can easily tie it to your wrist. - Comes with a charging brick plus USB Type C cable! (Looking at you Samsung & Apple!) Cons: - Bluetooth 4.2 is good but should've had 5.0 & above which allows for multicast so you can connect 2 bluetooth headphones to 1 device so 2 people can listen to music on the same device (this feature is rare and not all Bluetooth 5+ devices support it). - The volume on bluetooth headphones or even when connected to your car is just too low. Connected this Jelly 2 to my Sennheiser HD 450 BT noice cancelling headphones and even at max volume on both the phone and the headphones, it still feels really low. It's equivalent of 50% volume on a Samsung handset. The same happens when connected to your car, you'd not only have volume at max on your phone but you'll potentially need to have it on max on your car too. - The fingerprint scanner rarely works. It rarely recognises my finger prints. I've tried numerous times to re-scan my finger print but it rarely recognises it so I rely on pin code but because the screen is so small, you can easily key the pin code with just your thumb and just as fast. - No IP rating so there's no splash or water resistance on this device so please be aware. Unihertz however does offer another device which is the Atom and Atom XL with IP68 that are built for rugged use but they're more bulky. Conclusion: If you're tired of the ever growing in size smartphones that we currently have or you're looking for a secondary phone without losing app functionality then this device might be for you. If you like going on night outs or travelling alot and don't want to carry oversized expensive phones that can potentially be lost or stolen then this might be for you. Phones are getting bigger these days but pockets are not! Funny enough, the smallest screen size that's offered by Samsung in their latest line up of phones (2021) is currently 6.4inch. This phone is 3inch!!!

Good basic smartphone
Decent battery life if not constantly in use. Handy size as I was tired of my larger Galaxy.

Excellent Little Phone 2 years +
I've used this phone as my main handset for work and as a personal phone for two years. It has dual SIM so I don't have to carry two large phones with me. I wear it on a lanyard at work and commuting on my bike. All apps works as a 'normal' phone. I use a clone app so have two instances of WhatsApp for each SIM which great for keeping things separate. Before every text or call it gives me the choice of which SIM to use, you can turn this feature off. I have my train and bus etickets on the phone and use Google Pay with 3 credit cards on the account. The camera is not great but good enough for my purposes. Sound quality is good, I use my Bluetooth earbuds with it and have watched a whole movie on it. The keyboard is tiny, might be an issue if you have large fingers, I keep predictive txt on for speed. I can go 8 hours without charging it if I'm not using it constantly but I keep a charger with me all the time. I use it as a satnav too using Google maps, that can drain the battery after about 4/5 hours. My job is quite busy, there are times when I'm on the road organising logistics of people and performances, I use email, text and WhatsApp all the time, it's never let me down. The biggest thing is people's reaction to it, there isn't a day goes by that someone doesn't comment on it, people think it's a toy. It's very discreet and can be use in meetings hiding behind a cup :) After a full pitch from me on the train once my local train conductor bought one! I dropped it from a great height after about 2 months, there was a tiny crack on the screen which I could have lived with but wanted it repaired, that's not an option on this phone. It took 3 weeks in total to return it and get a new on at a reduced price. I only paid £100 for it so it didn't seem too much at the time. I love this phone.

Lasted 2 years before hardware issue
I loved the size and functions of the phone and it was a great conversation started, fits into the pocket brilliantly but battery life at best lasted a day and after 2 years they battery started lasting only 4-5 hours, I bought a new battery and fitted it but no change in battery life. Unihertz asked for the battery log and confirmed that there was a hardware issue and told me I would need to buy a new phone, they offered a $45 discount but with shipping charges and delays from China I opted to buy a Samsung with a 3 year warranty.

Truly Excellent Phone!
I bought this phone after damaging the screen on my existing phone. I chose small because, like other people I'd got fed up walking around with a 'tablet' in my pocket. When I thought about it I still wanted a smart phone and not a 'dumb feature phone'. I wanted basic communication, calls and texts + WhattsApp + I liked having my calander handy and the ability to scribble notes. Even having a browser handy for occasional information would be good. It sounds a big list but really I don't use the phone a lot- its just occasional access to certain programs + very limited communication. So I decided to try the Jelly 2 from Unihertz. Someone I'd never heard of. My expectations weren't high but now I've owned and used it for a while its exceeded my expectations and hopes. Its brilliant. Its every bit as good as my S10e. Software opens and performs very well. Battery life is an easy 2 days. I thought the small keyboard might be an issue. It is'nt. Its fine. My personal SIM + my works SIM work fine side by side. The browser is very useable. If required I can access documents from my google Drive. Feels well made. Highly recommended if you are fed up carrying a tablet phone with you and want a phone as an accessory but not to intrude with your daily life, this is the one to buy and other manufacturers to take inspiration from.

Appalling Customer Service
I want to bring people's attention to an appaling example of customer service from Unihertz. On 28th Dec I bought a Jelly 2 from them via Amazon UK. It did not work. I posted the problem on here but in spite of some suggestions from their representative, it would not work. I therefore returned it via Amazon and I got a refund. I decided to chance my luck and buy another, again via Amazon. This time it works fine no problem. But..... I then get this from Unihertz..which I find unbelievable and I'd like to point out that in spite of what they say below, I have NOT bought many products and returned them. 17-Jan-2023 07:57 "We noticed from our record that you purchased many items from us and returned most of them. We hope buyers would contact us first before they return if they have any questions or problems, so that our technical department can offer support. If there is any quality issue, please stop purchasing any new items, just return it and get refund, you can check the other brand. We could not bear so many returns, it really affect our business, we hope you understand our situation. Please do NOT purchase any new items from us in the future, thank you very much. Kind regards, Unihertz --- My Response This Morning is ... "This is totally unfair. I have just purchased another Jelly 2 from you and will be keeping it because it works. The one I bought before that was not working. I went on your Facebook group and exchanged messages with your lady on there and tried the suggestions she made bur we could not get the product to work properly. I therefore returned it because it WAS NOT WORKING. Would you not do the same after spending £179.99?!" I have not purchased "many items" at all. Unihertz customer service, in this instance, stinks and they need not tell me to not buy from them again, because I certainly won't be.

BRILLIANTLY SMALL!
I was after a small smartphone to use on my mountain bike that would connect to my Garmin sat nav and enable me to use Live Track so that my position would always be know when I'm out on Dartmoor. My current phone, in common with most phones these days has become too big to comfortably fit in pockets and this absolutely solves that problem! It's around 1cm thick, so thicker than many phones, but it's the small screen that makes it the ideal size for me. It might be small, but it is fully featured and I don't feel short-changed on features by its diminutive size and reasonable price. It has plenty of memory (6GB/128GB) to download lots of apps and it runs them with ease. The NFC works well for contactless payments. Others have complained about how small the keyboard is (well, it is a very small phone) but I find that with a bit of care it's fine to use and it seems fairly accurate. The fingerprint sensor can be unresponsive, but I find that this is because it has become dirty and with a quick wipe from a t-shirt it works fine again, though I find it needs cleaning a couple of times a day. Battery life I find more than acceptable for my purposes and with a mix of WhatsApp, Facebook, Bluetooth streaming to my car on the way to and from a ride and then being the Bluetooth Live Track connected device to my Garmin I find it lasts just over a day. Lots of video streaming does chew through the battery life as the display is always on, but that's the same for all phones. Overall I’m very pleased and can’t fault it.
