Trust the reviews.
It's definitely a knife. The tip seems to be broken off or possibly never shaped, it's set into the hilt crooked and is also scratched twice. It's sad because the shape is very simple and pleasing, and it's really wood and brass. The blade is where it really falls apart. It feels like it's been pumped out quick and mass produced.

Needs some effort, but overall it is a good knife.
These knives seem to be crafted by amateurs, but I support amateur craftsmen. The blade needs sharpening and reshaping, but it arrived tightly fitted. The materials used are adequate quality and with some effort this can be made into a good lightweight knife for the money. How sturdy is this knife? The blade is 3 millimeters thick and has a rat tail tang.

Good price
The boot knife it's self is not bad at all for the blade is sharpish with a stone you can get it quite sharp. The balance is good. The guard, wood handle, and pommel are all fit on nice and snug. Knife feels good in my hand. The sheath is the bad it is paper thin. The clip on the sheath is worthless for it unbent when I tried slipping into my boot top. When I put the knife in the sheath I found that the fit is bad to non-existent for the sheath depth, length, and width are all sized to a bigger blade. It should fit nice and snug and not flop a round. The locking strap didn't work and broke when I tried to snap it closed. Overall I am happy with the knife not the sheath, the price is good. I don't know if I can give it more than three stars for half of the product is useless. Again I say the knife is well done and I like it, it will come in real handy as a back up knife for that unexpected time.

You Get What You Pay For
Cheap, bends easily, will not take or hold an edge, there is practically no tang, sheath clip is class may and cheap. But it will do what it's made for I guess. If you want a neat conversation piece that is cool to look at, this is for you. If you actually want an affordable boot knife to carry, look at Smith and Wesson's boot knives. Overall you get what you pay for. What more could you want for an $8 boot knife.

Exactly what I was looking for
Just fine for the price. It is made crooked, the handle is a bit loose, and I had to put a whole new edge on both sides. The sheath works well-stays put on your boot over as many miles as you can walk. I bought this for a cheap boot knife for hiking. You can abuse it all you want and not feel bad. It is a good size for me and the grip is comfortable. The price is right.

A knife that couldn’t spread butter.
Dull blade, jenky handle and construction. Cheaply made, near unusable as a knife. The button snap and clip on sheath was rusted. Pretty sure I can destroy this in one use.

Display knife or adult toy
Blast from the past. When I was a kid you could win these as prizes when the fairs or carnivals came to town. I got them from time to time and would throw them at targets or go explore in the woods. They never stuck around long, lost them or mom would trash them when she found them. Glad to see these cheap knives are still around.

I bought this knife because it reminded me of a knife I had as a kid. I was actually kind of excited to see if it was a similar ad the picture showed. I can't show pictures of all the issues because I worked on this knife almost as I unpacked it. It's really low quality...I know the price reflects that but I mean it's *really* low quality. The handle was tan colored with dents and crazy irregularities, the end cap was peen on and ground fairly smooth but on about a 14 degree angle off center, the plunge lines are all over the place, the guard was left unfinished with sharp angles and doesn't line up with the ricasso, the grind lines are so bad that I'm sure a blind monkey must of done them. That is mostly asthetic but the blade itself is ultra thin and mild steel. I can file every part of it with my wood rasp...I don't even need a metal file. I'm keeping this thing as an example of what a very poorly made knife looks like. I fixed it up a bit, but I'm not polishing it at all, it'd lose to much material. I cut off the useless tab clasps and added leather to the oversized "leather" case in 2 places along with a thin magnet. Now after staining it, it's at least useable for opening letters.

It's better then I expected for 10 bucks. Like other reviews have stated. Not sharp at all. Have a hell of a time sharpening it. But appearance is good. Wouldn't take hunting or camping. But cheap enough to throw and wreck.
