While my husband hasn't used the cloth as yet, he will in the next few days. It was purchased to cover outside vents to keep mice from getting into the crawl space. He said it was exactly what he was looking to use.

Seems to be just what I need. A buddy of mine suggested hardware cloth placed over your chimney to catch sparks that come flying out. This is important in our drought stricken area so I thought I'd give it a try. Armagabeli sent me an email with tips on how to handle their cloth to avoid injury and this was so very helpful. I've not had the opportunity to put this over my chimney and try a fire yet (its raining, can you believe it???) so I don't know if this will work or not but based on my buddy's recommendation and the fact that I needed something to put a halt to those pesky sparks, I'm thinking this will be just the ticket.Addendum: Put the cloth over my fire pit chimney and it worked like a charm.

This is the smallest wire mesh size I could get. I have like 95% of it left after my use. Hard to cut, and it's hard to un-bend and straighten it up.

I guess hardware cloth is a non commendable item. It's either ok or not ok. But there is a bit more to comment on. Is it bent? Is it cut crooked? Is the galvanization process evenly applied or are there rusty spots? Fits it poop pen like trick s"nake in a jar" toy when i opened it, or was it safely packaged? I am happy to say all these things were appropriately addressed in my order. It was even shipped as expected, arriving inn time. When I needed more I'll reorder from this company.

When you go looking for hamster- or mouse cages, you are likely to find many that are way too small for ANY type of animal, and the ones that would be big enough have bar spacing that is much too wide, being (wrongly) intended for much larger animals.The solution is to get a BIG plastic bin with a tightly closing lid, cutting away part of the lid (and/or sides) and covering the opening with this 1/4" hardware cloth.Careful, the points are sharp !

This is just what i needed. I had chipmunks living in my crawl space and needed something to keep them out. This product works perfectly. i stapled it over the crawl space entry point and have not had an issue since the material is very strong and thick. the edges are a bit ragged so definitely wear gloves when working with this.
