Fusion 360 for Makers: Design Your Own Digital Models for 3D Printing and CNC Fabrication

I'm lucky that I have an expert I can ask about how to use Fusion 360, but if I didn't I'd now have this book. What I wanted it for was a reference book on how to use Fusion 360 since I like to be able to look in a book for what to use. (Note: This book is written after the interface change in Fusion 360 so describes the new way of doing things.)This book also provides examples as either worked problems or tutorials.I asked my expert for an opinion of this book, he pointed to a blurb in the book, he wrote the blurb.

Great job on explaining step by step how to start using fusion. Some of the diagrams are a little small on some pages as examples of what you are selecting but thumbing back to the larger picture works. I like the different sections on the modes of modeling and as a maker hobbyists this is just the book I was looking for.

I understand CADD and engineering but am brand new to this program. I prefer textbook learning at my own pace over video tutorials. This book was hands down the best reference for learning Fusion 360!!!

I do better at working on a software program like Fusion when the instruction is open beside me in a book holder and I can do the actions step by step.

I bought this book so I could design items I could make on my home-made CNC router. I have found this book to provide step by step instruction in plain English that is thorough, accurate and easy to follow.

I wanted to like the book, but its either already out dated due to f360 updating quickly, or its just not walking you though the "exercises " as it should. I found it to be a bit hard to follow it shows a picture of what a command does but not how or where those commands actually are. There are gaps from one process to the other or it has nebulous explanations as to what to do. IN a book that assumes no prior knowledge of 3d design it feels like the ideas just are not being conveyed correctly. There is no room for ambiguity when trying to learn something this complex and deep.

Good book. Easy to follow instructions. I am just learning and would love to go farther and this book is a great start.

I love this book, but if you check the infos on the web previously, the reading will be fast. A most if you want to be straight foward in your research BEFORE beginning your WEB journey on CNC.

Since the book is English, this review as well.. I have read and bought a few books on Fusion 360 and other similar CAD Software, but this one is the most complete one and very nicely written. The prints on some pages are quite outside of the margins, which makes it a bit difficult to see. I first thought maybe it's fake.. but since all looks legit.. One star less because of that, otherwise you will definitely learn a lot and the best book for Fusion 360!

Before you buy this book make sure it supports the version of Fusion 360 you are using. I read online that this software is updated quite often so the book’s instructions might tell you to go to a option in a particular menu but because the software has been updated it may be located in a different menu than the book shows.Anyway, as a beginner this book is helping me learn Fusion 360 very well. I still use YT videos as well though, as this book is not a complete guide on how to use the software.
