Works great
When the weather was cold and wind blowing, the inside of our over the stove microwave and clothes dryer were very cold. So we installed these and no longer that cold blast of air when you open them up. Has to be saving on the electric bill!!

Seems well made & did the job
I installed in on my dryer vent. The one up in the attic or wherever it is wasn't working. Cut the hose and put this inline. Just had to buy a couple of 4" hose clamps @ $2 ea. I mounted it vertically which I think would be the best application but you can put it in horizontally as well as long as you orient it correctly.

Good solution to double-protect against a cold back-draft
I installed two of these on a bathroom vent system that ties a single blower mounted in the attic to two bathrooms. I have one on each drop to prevent a cold backdraft when the blower isn't running. The mounted easily into the short runs of 6" flexible duct that we used for the final drop and they don't appear to restrict the flow of air at all. I can't speak to their robustness yet as I have only just started using them, but they utilize what seems to be a decent foam as a seal and the flaps close securely when no airflow is occurring.

Seal is not as pictured. Poor packing.
Terrible packing and damaged but moreimportantly the seal is a thin piece of weatherstrip, not the substantial foam as pictured.Returned.Ordered a replacement from a different vendor at a higher price... commingled junk, I got the same thing, also bad packaging, also damaged. This one is bent out of true so the flaps don't close correctly... 1 star.

Got it to work....with some work.
Likely not the fault of the damper but this thing was a bear to get in. Clearly the size of the opening isn't standard but I did manage to get it installed and working correctly. I would recommend it.

Works, but needed a modification to withstand dryer heat.
The metal parts work great.... however the cheap foam insert to create the seal is lacking to say the least. Used for 1 week and had to pull out and replace with foam and silicone that I had at home. The foam insert with sticky stuff on the back cannot handle heat from the dryer, causing it to get hot and come loose. It got caught in the flaps and left the door in the open position. I was able to fix with my own products and now it works 100% better and does not allow cold air to come back in.

Worked great for my project
Worked great and I was able to set up a vent for my garage. Added a 10" to 13" adapter to the top of it for my already installed 13" roof vent.

Good quality.
The damper functions well but the flange to the bottom and top are the same. Would be better if one end."the top " was crimped
