How many wine bags to do get? Is it 8 bags for wine?

There is a set of 4 bags with 4 inner liners, as well as 4 removable bubble bags. All parts form triple protection for 4 bottles.

Does a 1 liter bottle fits in it?

I put in standard 750ml bottles of wine and they fit fine. To know if a one liter bottle would fit it would all depend on the diameter of the one liter bottle. I don't think there is any way of knowing unless you order these and try it.

How do these hold up to elevation change for trips to low/high elevation?

Given that commercial airline flights operate at equivalent air pressure equal to elevations of 6-8 thousand feet and change to 0 feet for coastal landings, I would say these hold up great for trips with elevation changes. At least this did in my case.

do they fit a 1.75 Liter bottle?

I do not think so. I used them for the standard, 750 ml size. You might be able to remove one of the inner layers and fit a 1.75L in it, but then you would be risking damage to the bottle.
