This really had so many twists.
“Because if I could dream of one thing for the rest of my days, it would be of you, the way you study me and wonder who or what I really am.” Why? “Because you never stop hoping. I can see it in your eyes, Mia. You never cease praying that I will turn out to be something other than I am. A monster.”So this one starts two weeks after Mia last saw King and right at the end of the first book.King has disappeared without a trace and Mia is seriously worried.Following a trail that on the surface seems to have been engineered by King himself, Mia finds herself at King's residence and along with the help of King's right-hand men, Mack and Amo Mia set's out on a mission with there assistance to discover his ultimate fate or current whereabouts. So this had a totally different vibe than its predecessor it was still just as addictive reading it just felt totally different. We finally get to discover what seems to be at the heart of King with some serious answers to what he is and what is in his past.It also feels like events here are being puppet-mastered by his hand and everything that occurs is for a reason that only he seems to have the answers to.After King's help with her Mum and brother Mia also feels closer to her mysterious saviour and has a sense that she owes him for his past assistance combine this with also being attracted despite her fear to his darkness well Mia is now determined to help King in whatever way she can. This really had so many twists and just when I thought I knew where this was actually heading this managed to flaw me with the final reveal, gobsmacked is the word.I guess I should have expected it this is after all King we are dealing with.My only slight criticism here is sometimes I do find that Mia herself can be a tad judgmental and I would have liked her to give King a break.Out of the two King here is hands down my favourite character and I feel that sometimes Mia can be a tad harsh in her behaviour towards him. Then she will turn around and give her brother a free pass just because he is family.I am looking forward now to book three this series is fantastic and one I recommend highly.

Who doesnt want a King for a day?
4.5 stars. Not good news. At all. I’m not talking about this book. No. I’m referring to the fact that their isn’t even a ‘book 3’ listed so I can at least mark as ‘to read’. Which only means one thing. A huge long wait until I finally get some resolution between the H/h in this trilogy.Another great story that had so many twists and turns, my head’s a mess! But in a good way. I started this straight after book 1, which ended on a semi-cliff-hanger. In this instalment, the storyline deviated from what some people, me included, might consider similar to that of the Fever series. That didn’t bother really, but I was glad this story started to shift into one of its own in this book.So what to expect? Well we get actual answers for exactly who and what King is. More background on him and what made him such an evil, arrogant prick (but a hot sexy one) and a little of what he wants from Mia. What I loved (and yet what frustrated me the most) was just how close the H/h kept coming to resolving their differences and almost liking each other, and maybe more. Sure, the two are stubborn as all hell and just wouldn’t admit their feelings for each. Admittedly, Mia has some valid reasons. Through this book (and the last) she wants answers and doesn’t get them until the very end, when she realises just how much she has been manipulated by many people in her life. King (of course), Mack and sadly her brother. I won’t say any more.Great book, exciting yet convoluted storyline. Hot alpha-possessive but confusing hero. Feisty heroine. 4.5 stars!

2nd instalment
I did find it cheeky that this book was so small, it could have been part of of first one easily. But it was still awesome. It was fast paced, Dark, and you just didn't know where the plot would go next.I didn't like the cliffhanger, I was more a fan of her original choice, but now I need to read book 3 to see if she follows through.

KING FOR A DAY
Another great Mimi Jean book! This one picks up right where KINGS left off. As expected more murder, suspense, intrigue and mystery abound, oh and plenty of hot sexual tension. We finally find out what King is, and I have to say I had suspected but I really wasn't sure, so well done on not giving it away and making it obvious!!This lost a star for me because there wasn't quite enough of King in it, and I'd really liked their interactions in book one, and also the damn cliff hanger!! I hate cliffys! I can handle them when the next book is available, or if you can pretty much guess what's going to happen, but as usual with Mimi Jean she doesn't give much away and you are left hanging! Can't wait for the final one, which I think is due towards the end of the year. I kinda wished I'd waited until all three were out ot start book 1 but I just couldn't resist, knowing a new Mimi Jean book was out I just had to dive straight in!!

What a day to be a KING!!
Well it's taken me a while to write this review, as I wanted to do it justice!Mimi has done it again! Not only is this series dangerously dark, devilish and sexy, it immerses the reader in a tale that keeps you begging for more. The characters have hidden sides to them and the settings evoke dreams of far off places!I must admit that at first I wanted to slap Mia & say what are you doing hanging around for so long with no response, but you can understand this as her brother's life is in jeopardy and there is something about King that draws you in, closer & closer... Who is he, what's his story/past etc.Mimi has a fantastic way of describing the male torso & yummy, does it well in this series too!I've loved all of Mimi's books so far and have never been disappointed. She is an amazing and generous author, who helps the reader to become enraptured with every part of her stories. And I must say, if I met any of the men she described I would be one very very happy woman! Can't wait for any future books! :o)
