It's a bit tricky to write this review as I want to give the product 5 stars, but the description of the product 1 star. It's an excellent player. Slim and works beautifully on both my PC and my old MacBook Air with an Intel chip. However, on my new MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, it does not work. (And I saw, too late sadly, that others have the same experience.) I'm not sure if the chip is the problem (although it seems likely) or if it's an OS issue. Anyway, the description of this product states that it will work with macOS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (and Windows 10). Since I currently have macOS 15.7 Sequoia, I thought it would work. But sadly, it doesn't. I tried the player on my previous MacBook Air with macOS 14.7.2 Sonoma and the Dual-Core i5 Intel chip, and it works like a charm! It also works perfectly on my PC, even though that old thing is still running on Windows 7. I also tried it on a newer PC with Windows 10 and, again, worked beautifully.

Nachdem ich mal wieder ein Billig-Noname-Teil aus China erstanden hatte und mich nur ausgeregt habe über die miese Qualität, habe ich mir diesen Player gekauft. Das Gerät funktoniert einwandfrei, es ist relativ leise und brennt, was es soll. Der Player ist sehr flach, hat eine gebürstete Metalloberfläche, ist schön leicht und hat einfach nur einen USB-C Anschluss, kein weiterer Schnickschnack. Laufen tut das gerät ohne Vibrationen, klar, man hört es, aber ich habe den Brenner auch nicht gekauft, um damit DVDs zu sehen oder CDs zu hören. Ich bin zufrieden und werde das nächst mal direkt eine Markenfirma kaufen!

Ik heb nog zo'n 1800 DVD's verdeeld over 2 opbergkoffers waar ik geen afstand van doe. Daar heb ik deze Verbatim voor aangeschaft voor als ik met de camper op pad ben. Streamen qua data ben je snel door je limiet heen, dan ga ik op mijn Dell Precision 5520 laptop met deze Verbatim DVD speler met de VLC mediaspeler, gebruik hem ook alleen als afspeler. De bijgeleverde software werkt niet in Windows 11, daar gebruik je de Mediaspeler voor. Ook zelf gebrande DVD's of MP3 CD's speelt hij gewoon af. Ik ben meer dan tevreden al was hij wel aan de prijs.
