It should be as easy as unclipping a few spring clips around the perimeter of the filter box on top of the engine, pull out the old filter, put this new one in, slip up the clips, done. But despite being on top of the engine, there's so much stuff preventing the filter box from opening up without disconnecting the air intake hose, unclipping misc. stuff, and even then it's a tight space to drop in the filter.Once I got the filter on though, after a couple of fillups, my rough MPG calculations suggest the mostly city driving and short trips the car gets went up from 20mpg to 22mpg.

Looks like a rectangle with a triangle at one side. If your filter hasn't been changed for awhile , do yourself a favor and buy this . A bit of mechanical skills are required to remove the old filter from the housing to place this new filter .A++
