Seems like a great cookbook.
I love that there are so many basic, staple recipes in this book. It has recipes for different sauces and jam and bread. So far I've just tried to make the graham crackers and my daughter loves them, despite the fact that I wasn't able to fully knead and roll out the dough like I should have. (Crying 1 month old kept pulling me away)

Even with all the information from the internet I always end looking for recipes in this book, practical and interactive, it makes cooking fun and easy with tremendous results.

Delicious Recipes
Love Joshua. These are good recipes he's got in here. We make the bread all the time. It doesn't have all of his best recipes, but a good amount of them.

Great book!
Very good cook book! I'm obsessed with the steak recipe. There is a little bit of everything that you can cook and bake in the ketchen. I love watching Joshua YouTube videos and I'm happy he made this book. Lots of love and hard work went into it.

Great book for beginners and experienced chefs
I'm a fan of Joshua Weissman but I resisted buying his cookbook for months after it was released. As a professional chef, I didn't want another book that would just collect dust in my kitchen. I have plenty of cookbooks so why should I buy another even if it's from a youtuber I follow? Joshua is a funny guy with great charisma and I always appreciate his approach to cooking. My roommate enjoys watching his videos with me and after watching several videos with Joshua talking about his book, he asked me, "When's your copy arriving?" I broke the news to him that I hadn't bought it and wasn't planning on buying it. My roommate was perplexed. After a few weeks, I cracked and bought the cookbook to get my roommate to stop nagging me about it.When the book arrived, I placed it on my desk and didn't bother opening it up. A week goes by and my rommate asks what I think about the book. I tell him I haven't looked inside it yet. He laughs at me and just shakes his head walking away. The next day, I FINALLY opened the book and decided to give Joshua the chance to dissappoint me. To my surprise, I was thuroughly impressed by the book. It is well written, recipe structure is correct to how a professional recipe is written, his personality and ideals shine through page after page. I must say, the title fits this book perfectly and I am extremely pleased by the quality of his work. He clearly put time and effort into making this cookbook unique as well as being true to himself. I highly recommend this book to anyone of any level of cooking experience. As a professional chef who has taught cooking classes to adults and children in the past, I would suggest anyone wanting to learn or improve to start with this cookbook.

Great for the basics
This cookbook seems to be geared for the cook who wants to make everything from scratch. The first section provides instructions on homemade, jams, breads, fermented vegetables, flavored butters, and sauces. These are all quality recipes that everyone should have access to.Many of the meal recipes are basic, and are aimed at people who want to enhance simple cooking; such as recipes for BLT, cheese boards, or a cobb salad. The more interesting recipes include gnocchi, Shoyu ramen, and braised pork, among others.Overall, this is a good cookbook for someone with a budding interest in cooking. It will provide everything you need to workup a variety of skills and progress to different levels. If you already feel advanced in your skills or are familiar with how to make the basics, a different book may be for you.

Perfect cookbook for those looking to learn more in the kitchen!
I've been cooking from this cookbook since I bought it, and it's a priceless tool for those looking to make their own bread/condiments/accompaniments. I know I will continue to go back to this book to learn more, and hopefully feel confident enough to start my own bread. The fish tacos and Cubanos (using the mojo pork in the book) have been my favorites so far, but I'm not done making literally everything in this book yet!The ingredients are simple, and so far none of the recipes I've used have been too complicated or require you to spend all day in the kitchen for one meal. I look forward to purchasing his second book, and becoming a better cook!

Amazing!
This cook book is GREAT!Joshua just makes you realize how easy it is to make a lot of your own food at home, such as butter, bread, sauces, stocks, pickles, etc...It also gives out great recipes, easy to do, good explanations, and I just love his humor!When I showed his recipe for the "Better Than Popeye Chicken Sandwich" my girlfriend went : IMPOSSIBLE!Now, she wants me to make it twice a week! hahahaGet this cook book if you're starting to cook more in the kitchen, or even if you're experienced.
