Excellent product
Using mine as a silent VMware server at the house running my virtual load balancer and my phone system

Got this for a pfsense box. Installation of the software was a piece of cake on this hardware. Software configuration was a bit more challenging but I attribute that to the software not hardware. It has now performed like a champ for a while. Blows my old Xfinity all in one box out of the water, everything in the house is faster and I can truly inspect the traffic for malicious content.

I got this to replace a two year Qotom system that had bit the dust that had been running OPNsense. I had considered another Qotom computer because of the price but decided to not cheap out and go for one of the Protecli computers instead. This was overkill for just merely being a firewall, so after loading OPNsense on it and playing around a bit, I decided to wipe it and install Proxmox instead. Once Proxmox was installed, it was a simple matter to setup an OPNsense virtual machine. Really, any virtualization solution should work fine; all the hardware is open source OS compatible with FreeBSD, Linux, etc. As a VM, OPNsense runs really well plus I can run several other vms at the same time without impacting performance. Having plenty of NICs helped a lot to separate host and vm traffic. Just a note, I stuck 32GB (2x16) of ram into it and two hard drives; an mSATA drive for the OS and a 2.5" sata drive for the VMs. Just one minor thing; it would be nice to have a USB port or two on the back so that I didn't have to run a usb cable from a UPS to the front of the device. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this computer.

Tried installing pfSence and Opensense neither of them got past the install phase. Left pfSense "installing" for probably 5 hours (no there was no prompt asking for anything) and it never made any progress.

Don't expect anything from the wifi. Solid router. no issues, strong performance.
