Album III

The CD arrived in record time and in Very Good condition. If you've never heard this artist, do so! YOU will not be disappointed.

Nothing bad on this CD. My husband heard it the first time (Dead skunk in the middle of the road), going to jump school in North Carolina way back in the very early 70's. I got it for him and he's enjoyed it immensely.

As always, on time and as advertised. C'mon, who doesn't need Dead Skunk In The Middle of the Road? This is another that I have been serching for over many years, but with an added twist. My memory, flawed as it is, remembered this to be a Lynrd Skynrd work. When I 'discovered' Amazon, his name brought up Loudon Wainrights' as well. Another years long mystery solved in seconds.

I bought this CD just for "Dead Skunk" because my dad used to sing the song to me when I was little and there actually was a dead skunk in the middle of the road, lol. It's really funny song and I actually heard it used on a NPR segment recently lol.

been a Loudon fan since my kids were little, good solid music just what I would expect from this guy

Dead Skunk is a classic, but none of the other songs are throwaways. Wry and bemused and intentionally sophomoric commentaries mixed with great vocal and instrumental musicality.

Loudon Wainwright III still is a great songwriter, but his first albums were the best. This is one of them: a mean voice, a stunning guitar, wonderful texts.
