This is a quality tool, much better than any of the less expensive alternatives.
As others have noted this tool is over priced, but not horribly overpriced as some have complained. This is a quality and precision tool that is much better quality than the $40 - $100 models that are out there. I purchased two different models of the cheaper variety and there is no comparison with regard to quality of materials and construction. It also has a ratchet down feature that none of the other products I've seen support. That is very handy when you need to lower a load that is close to the lift limit. I do agree that the manufacturer could charge less and still make good money on the product, but compared to the price of other products out there, this one is worth allot more than the $100 units. I highly recommend this product.

Impressive Tool
As a one man band professional house painter I move a lot of furniture. The heaviest furniture is easily moved around with furniture sliders. The trick is being able to lift the furniture onto the sliders. 99% of the time it's not an issue. Sometimes with fully loaded entertainment centers or large pieces, the weight can be too much for one person. I've been looking at these Viking Arm lifters for awhile, on the fence because of the cost. Finally broke down and bought one after facing a crazy heavy bedroom set. 100% glad I did. The Viking arm out of the box felt solid and first thing I did was lift a heavy piece of furniture in my own house. Eureka, it did the trick! Easily. For me, paying $200 for a way to avoid an injury and losing time from work is worth it.

This is the best helper tool!
The Viking Arm, while it seems pricey is fully worth it if you are a DIY person. It is VERY sturdy and works easily. From helping to level appliances, cabinets, or just holding a sheet of drywall while you fasten, it is that extra set of lift hands you need and often don’t have.

Should be less $ but we’ll worth it anyway.
Other than price the Viking Arm was flawless and functioned as advertised 100%. Used to install 25 8’ solid core, wood, fire rated commercial doors. Jacked up with one hand and set top reveal with my thumb. As expected it still looks and operates like it did out of the box. You definitely get what you pay for very well designed and constructed. Not hard to imagine or assume the issues you would have with the other knock offs for 1/4 of the price.

Best tool for the job
This is a bit pricy, But this will last a lifetime. It has the best micro adjustments. I've tried several other jacks and this is absolutely the best! I install cabinets for a living and if your looking into this tool as a professional purpose, its a must. I can not ever go back to installing with out this tool!!

Works perfectly - I'll be buying the second later today
Don't buy the Chinese knock-offs. This one works. In addition, think about how you'd use it. If you think you'll be able to fine-adjust the knock-offs, think again. There is no incremental down button on these. It's either pump up, or down all the way. The Viking jack has an incremental down button. I bought one to see how well it works. I'll be ordering a second later today.

Very strong, very well made. I have used it to lift furniture, and shop tools (a side at a time, then I can place elevating blocks of wood, elevate the other side and continue until the .desired .height is reached). Although the arm has a “reach” of about a foot, Taller things can be lifted by placing a stout piece of wood on the arm of the tool, extending upwards to a good place on the object to be lifted.

These handheld jacks are a lot of money, but they ARE the DOG’S watsits!!! I splashed out & bought two on the basis of rave reviews & YouTube videos showing just how versatile they are. Although they are made for workmen fitting windows & fitting decking etc, I have already used them both together to lift up my very heavy 4 poster bed in order to clean under it (not been touched under there for some years, due to difficulty reaching under there). I have a medical condition that results in muscle weakness in my arms, legs & neck. The Viking Arm handheld jacks lifted up one side of my bed with ease, felt as steady & sturdy as a rock, & I was able to clean under that side of the bed with ease. They are easy to use too, you don’t need strong hands the size of spades. My hands are small & quite weak & I could squeeze the levers with no problem. I positioned the jacks apart along the side of the bed to spread the weight on them, then squeezed each Jack one squeeze at a time in turn to keep everything level. Job done! I have other jobs lined up for these jacks, jobs I can’t do on my own without help - help of these jacks! Spend the money, they are an investment that should last you many years.

Tried the other brand , way cheaper one . Only last for one door installation. The handle made up of thin metal simply crooked. Seeing the material of this model. I guarantee I bought the right stuff. Good product

This tool is great for lifting espresso machines during servicing and installation. It really helps with reducing risk and strain of lifting heavy equipment when you need access underneath. Feels very solid in construction, and the incremental lowering is great.
