Overall a good buy
This unit has a clean look, fits in a small footprint and has a reasonably quiet operation. The instructions recommend weekly cleaning, but do not offer instructions as to how to clean items like the cooler pad and water tank. The tank is not easily serviceable, in that the water pump hose and wiring cannot be easily removed. There are also not any parts list or methods of getting replacement cooler pad or pump. Etc..It cools well, but I was hoping for more than 2 or 3 degrees efficiency in a 200 to 300 sf room.Overall I am happy with this unit, ultimately it is preforming well and solving the issue I was having.

Works great... as long as it works!
Bought mine in June, delivered on 6 July. Fan quit working on 9 September.. all in 2021. So, I got 2 months and 3 days use. While it was working it was fantastic. I used it to cool a small guestroom and on days when the outside temp was in the high 90's here in the desert of Northern Nevada it did a terrific job. This morning, however, while I was sleeping the fan shut down completely. So it is a piece of junk at the present. Replacement date expired on 6 August and I did not opt for the 3 year extended warranty for an additional $20 or so... my advice: Spend the $20 and be sure you have the 3 year warranty. I contacted Amazon CS and I am shipping it back at my expense. Amazon will send me a refund minus the restocking fee, but according to the CS guy I can recoup the $32 restocking fee after I re-contact CS. Guess I will have to wait and see how that turns out. So, for me it was a mixed bag. Loved the unit while it worked. I particularly liked the fact you can fill the unit with water without bending over, something that so many of the other competitive tower evaporative cooler fans lack. I am an "old guy" and have had back surgery, so bending over almost to the floor to fill the tank with water is not something I can easily do. This unit solved that problem completely. I will probably buy another one, despite loss of at least the return mail expense, if not more. Next time, however, I will opt for the 3 year warranty. If you don't have problems with the fan quitting on you then you will love this unit. One other advantage with this unit is that it holds enough water to work on the highest fan level for at least 9 hours, maybe more. I routinely used the 9 hour setting and still had a little water left in the reservoir. I know it is advertised as 12 hours, but I live where the humidity is very, very low ( High Desert ) so that was my experience. Remember that swamp coolers don't do well where the humidity is higher. If you routinely have a humidity in excess of 50% then don't waste money on a swamp cooler, but for those of us living in the desert these things are a life saver.Addendum: It turns out that Amazon sent me a mailing sticker to use on sending the unit back via UPS, so I need to correct my earlier statement. I will not be out the cost of mailing the unit back. That makes me happy! Thanks, Amazon. I feel much better about the whole thing now. Once again, I had absolutely no complaint with the 43 inch Air Choice Evaporative Tower Swamp Cooler.. as long as the fan was working. It did a terrific job. So far I am also well pleased about how Amazon is handling this problem after the fan quit. Thanks, Amazon.

Meh could be better (Update: mine died =no longer turns on)
Used for my small bedroom. Nice that we were given 2 ice packs so we could freeze one while using the other. Easy to set up and refilling the water is annoying. The air is pretty nice and cool when set on the water feature but I was hoping it would be colder. Had it for 3 months now and it no longer rotates and the lights on the screen keep flashing even when the screen is supposed to be off. The inside of the container that holds the water at the bottom and top keep getting dirty and turning yellow. A lot of work unscrewing the bottom to take the tank out and clean and put the tank back in. (I am a lazy person.) First time having the top part turn yellow but looks like you have to unscrew some screws to take it out and clean also. I think it’s a decent fan, doesn’t turn the whole room cool and that’s kind of sad since my bedroom is pretty small. I thought it would last me longer before it broke too. It really only kept me cool if I lay in the direction the fan was blowing. Honestly, if you don’t mind the cleaning and refilling then it’ll be fine I guess, but I wanted something to make my whole room cold and something that doesn’t take much to maintain.

great buy
I have used a window mount swamp cooler before and this one portable one works as well... it is easy to set up just have to do is just add the base. and you pour the water in from the top... and can add an ice box from the top too. They send you two ice boxes with it... so I can leave one in the freezer and then switch them out when I need to. I have it about 10ft from me in the living room... I was telling my sister about it and it was so cold I had to turn it down ... it gave me a brain freeze so I had to turn it down lol so with a hundred degrees out side... and it works great where ever I am I don't have to use the AC that cools the whole house where I don't need it... I just cool where I am and seriously this thing really works

Sad face
Thought this was a good find. Although it didn’t significantly decrease the temperature in the room (my daughter’s room gets full sun all day; in Arizona! So we were happy with a couple degrees when she started saying she was actually cold in her room for the first time ever!). Then (coincidentally??) 5 days after the return window closed, we come home to a strange smell (hot plastic is the best I could describe. The screen shows 1/4 of the temperature and nothing else. None of the buttons worked including the remote. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and no change except now it’s rotating. The drawer was empty so I filled it with ice water (even though we never use the “snowflake” setting. (Which btw never increased humidity) kept it unplugged for a while and still nothing. I’m not sure if it’s even safe to have on!!!?? But can’t return it! Super disappointed!

No exhaust vent needed
We are sleeping in an area that does not have means for exhaust from a traditional A/C or window unit.We were pleasantly impressed how well this item works to keep our area cool. We’ve gotten up to 80 degrees outside so far, and the temperature in our area remained tolerable (and we are big babies with the heat)We found additional ice packs on Amazon for sale so we always have some frozen to swap out to make the unit blow very cool air.Runs quiet at night and does not have a big footprint. Highly recommend this fan.
