I was honestly a bit sceptical about this, but it has proven itself very well. It works. Lots of codling moths trapped, and a much smaller caterpillar infestation as a result. Will definitely buy again. Note that it does inevitably trap some other insects too, but this is minimal.

First year used. So far so good. Placed two In a medium Apple tree. Many `moths` caught. No marks or activity on the fruit as yet.

Hung these on our apple trees.Caught loads of coddling moths. It seems to have worked as we have loads of apples growing, most of which are unscathed.Why did you choose this product over others?:Reasonably priced. Reviews positive.

3 separate traps ready to use in Spring time, simple instructions and a reasonable price

Not a product to judge in January. Have to wait until apples are on the trees to see if the codling moth treatment and deterrent has worked. So far so good with ease of preparation and not too expensive if unsuccessful. A wait and see project.

Excellent product

We have a small orchard, I’ve previously used the traditional open pheromone glue traps for many years but I wanted to try these as I’d been concerned at the number of non target insects caught with the traditional style. I was very disappointed with this new trap, we had zero target moths in the traps and our orchard has never been so heavily infested with codling moth since we switched to these new traps. Huge mistake, there isn’t a single apple of any variety in the orchard that hasn’t been spoiled, and once I saw the infestation I spent many hours each day manually clearing by hand what I could. Back to the traditional traps for me, I’m very disappointed as I really wanted these to work for the sake of the non target insects.
