These mounting brackets are made of strong steel and have the strength and quality needed to mount most equipment. The only problem I found is that the maximum width on the narrow bracket is roughly 1.6", not 1.8" as stated in the listing. I have two devices to mount. One fits, and the other one is about 3/16ths" too wide. Rather than sending the item back I'm going to make the slots longer so the second item I'm mounting fits. Returning an item and modifying this one takes the same amount of effort.

Worked great to hold my cable box behind the TV; exactly as advertised. It would have been very helpful to have included 18 inches of double sided gorilla-strong tape to attach to the TV.
