I left the OEM mount for our Garmin DriveSmart 55 in a rental car on a trip this past summer and had to order a replacement. This is exactly like the original and does the job. My only two nit-picks (not serious enough to rise to the level of complaints) are: 1) the range of adjustment isn't the greatest. I can barely get it tilted down to a point where the screen is vertical when mounted on a disk on the dash of a 2018 Honda CR-V; and 2) the suction cup mount will occasionally come loose and fall off the disk. This is likely an issue will all suction cup mounts no matter the manufacturer. To avoid this, I periodically remove the mount, clean the suction cup and the disk, dampen the suction cup, and remount it.

Leave It to Garmin!! This Garmin Suction Cup Mount is actually way better than the original as the suction force on my windshield is so strong I actually can't take it off my windshield!!! What happened is that last week the plastic lever used to tighten the suction cup mount to the windshield fell off of the assembly onto my center console. I carefully put in back into place however when I pushed it forward to tighten the Garmin unit to the windshield I noticed it had very little torque. (Like many other parts to various components once they break they have to be replaced) Anyway, now.. The torque is so tight that even when I release the lever to take off the suction cup mount I can't remove it!! If I tried any harder I'd break the plastic on this replacement unit. (I usually remove the Garmin from my windshield at night as previously the entire unit/suction cup mount and the Garmin itself were falling onto my center console due to excessive heat build up on the windshield in the morning) Not anymore!! Now, I simply take off the Garmin and put it in my center console storage compartment and leave the suction cup mount on the windshield.. In the morning I take out the Garmin and attach it onto the plastic ball and that's that!! So actually, this unit is much stronger, has way more torque than the suction cup mount that came with the unit. My advice is to actually invest the $11 and buy this Garmin Suction Cup Mount when you buy a Garmin navigation unit as it's way more tight and durable. (keep the suction cup mount that comes with the Garmin as a backup) By the way, this replacement unit fits my Garmin perfectly. Many have asked (In the Amazon Forum) if the replacement unit will fit the Garmin needing the part so.. have no worries it'll fit basically any Garmin perfectly!! Thank You Amazon for keeping these replacement parts in stock and many thanks to Garmin for manufacturing the replacement parts that naturally need to be replaced over time. I couldn't be happier with this replacement Garmin Suction Cup Mount!! Don't hesitate for a moment to purchase it.. As already noted, it's actually better than the one that came with the unit! Amazing!!

I have had this for over a month now. For the Price this thing does it's job. I do not remove it from my vehicle at all, it sticks, it stays, it does not rip. I imagine if i tried to remove it often and place it back there may be a problem. This does not telescope at all. But for this price and the way i use this product it works perfect for me. i live in new mexico, gets very hot in the car, still no problems update: 12/2/12. I do a lot of advanced driving in my job high speeds, fast turns, sudden stops. I don't remove it form my windshield at all. It has not broken, still works, does what it said it would do. for the price I still can't beat it. compared the the higher priced ones this is the best bang for the buck.

I bought it on Amazon from the seller "Navitech". It was packed by the seller in a small clear ziplock (No original box) and shipped to me in a postal envelope from UK. When I opened it and looked at it, it did not appear to be a genuine Garmin. Anyways, I wanted to see how it holds to the windshield. I stuck it to the windshield and then was entering a new destination in my GPS. The suction cup mount fell down before I was done entering the destination. I am returning this back for a full refund. I then bought one from a local Target store. The Target item came in its sealed original Garmin box. And yes, this one is very genuine and holds on to the glass until I remove it. Amazon should filter all suppliers and sellers trying to sell fake products. Next time I will prefer to buy anything first from a local store as I know I am seeing and buying genuine and there will not be any hassle to send it back and claiming a refund.

The quality is good and it obviously works rock solid as it should with the GPS it was made for. The only glaring issue is that it costs too much.

I have a Garmin Sat Nav, and the suction cup mount they supplied has never been great. Got to the point that it was falling off nearly daily so decided to spend a little more to buy Garmin original. The difference is brilliant, I think the supplied suction cup with the Sat Nav must have been faulty as the replacement is solid. Worth the extra paid (saying that since I didn't buy a cheap version I can't comment on their quality). Just a shame I didn't have a quality product with the expensive Sat Nav.

The suction cup doesn’t work anymore after a week on the windscreen. Kept dropping and caused damages to my Garmin device

Me lo.envuaran después de cancelar el pedido y lo devolví pero compré en otra ocasión y es un producto bastante bueno y se sujeta muy bien
