Q: Will this work using a macintosh performa 600 to samsung syncmaster vga monitor?

We used this adaptor to connect a Macintosh Performa 6300 to an older model Dell vga monitor since we were unable to locate a working Mac monitor and the vga was a free giveaway from a friend. This adaptor worked perfectly, and it allowed us to continue to use this older model Mac. We are completely happy with this adaptor, as it did exactly what it was designed to do.

Q: Does this work with an applecolor high-resolution rgb monitor? (m0401) i know the connector is the same, but the timing standards are unclear to me.

Don't know if RGB is above VGA standards, but for $8.00 give it a try.

No, it doesn’t look like it. If you’re planning to use this with a vintage Mac, it should work fine. If you’re trying to convert some obscure DA15 plug to a DE15 plug and need the pins to be 1-1, this isn’t the adapter you need. Hope that helps :)

Q: Can i use this with an applecolor high-resolution rgb monitor and a windows pc?

This is to convert a VGA monitor to be plugged into a monitor of the old Apple DB15 standard. I think you do not need this device to connect VGA to a PC, it plugs directly.
